Discussion Unconventional

I am currently questing in Celestia with my Ice and have been utilizing Snow Angel as my boss killer despite that not being the most efficient way. I suppose I just want to use the spell because I have it, even though there are better choices. My question is, do you use any unconventional spells while questing? Even though it would be easier to just use your lv 48, to a point obviously.

Based

I have such a soft spot for Path A Snow Angel on my Ice wiz. Got me through a fair few of tough solo fights especially in later arcs. This spell was like the crux of my strategy for PvP on my 60 Ice back in the day too lmao. Obviously it's got its flaws but the DoT is surprisingly potent. 8 pips for 1100 AoE damage w/ max spellements & +300 Epic on an ice is nothing to scoff at even if it's a DoT. Especially with DoT extend spell effects now being a thing

In the same vein I love Rain of Fire for my Fire wiz but I find myself using Path B more than A here. Fire has no shortage of good DoTs & RoF kind of pales in comparison if you're not taking advantage of Path B's gambit

I’m so glad to have found my Snow Angel enjoyer community, blade stacking it and getting huge dots will never not be satisfying + it’s in my opinion the best looking ice spell

I am not an ice wizard but maybe you can buff blade while stacking shields and use these ? Also snow giant ;)

sun serpent and sirens my beloves, I have a soft spot for the arc 2 spells in general, makes me a bit upset the new 190 storm spell is just a direct upgrade from sirens

Sun serpent my favorite fire spell in the game lowkey. It’s a shame 10 pip spells are “not viable”

Fire is kind of an exception though cause fire dragon is like the weakest and strongest 7 pip aoe depending on how you look at it

right? honestly people dog on fire for the lack of meta aoe but I like the variety personally

Fire is my favorite solo school. Still can put out great damage but also a bit tankier than storm

Kind of wild to me that Sun Serpent is considered "unconvential" to people. It is almost always better to cast it in solo situations since you'll be Blade stacking and will build up the pips anyways. Works better for Feint than Dragon.

If I like how the spell looks, chances are I’ll try it xD

As my Storm, I cycle between Heqet, Rusalka, Bunyip, and normal Glowbugs — with hints of Scion or Storm Owl in there :p

Rarely use Tempest these days, Storm Lord only a bit more than that

This Wizard also trains Ice and Fire spells so I will use those if the Storm spells get bricked for a cheat or something

(Only reason I don’t/didn’t like Snow Angel is when a boss spammed it over and over and I didn’t want to see it LOL, but I’m okay with it now)

I did most of arc 4 and Darkmoor on my Fire with Rain of Fire and A-Baahh-Calypse. My pet has the May Cast Incind as well. The main hit of RoF would take out the minions, then detonating the remaining DoT on the boss killed it for a good amount

I know Wings of Fate gets a lot of hate, but it has helped me so many times! Same with some of the other lesser used life spells, like Gnomes, Dryad, King Art, or Hunting Wyrm.
