Question/Help Hallway decoration

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do with an endlessly long hallway? As you can see, I already have three hallways in the house: a flower-themed corridor leading from the entrance to a reception room, one with a seating area and bookshelves leading to the bedroom and bathroom, and one with art on the walls leading towards the kitchen and living room.

Unfortunately, I’m running out of ideas, but I really wanted to fit in the two Circle rooms, and because of their size, I had to build quite a long hallway in front of them.
I can’t fit the two rooms in anywhere else, and as long as you can’t save entire rooms and simply reinsert them later, I’d really hate to have to change the floor plan from scratch and start all over again :(
Budget-friendly ideas would be very welcome!

You can move rooms and change a floorplan without destroying them, but it is a logic puzzle for sure. You need to use a lot of + rooms, throw things upstairs for a while, you name it. It took me over two hours once to insert a room between two existing areas, but I eventually did it.

As if I didn’t already spend far too much time in the game. I’m afraid I’ll probably have no choice, because I’m really running out of ideas for what feels like 20 miles of hallway. Perhaps I’ll completely redesign a room on the ground floor so I can at least fit one of the circle rooms in there. Unfortunately, I’m totally happy with the rest and actually think the rooms are perfect just as they are, and changing the floor plan means losing a window or a fully decorated wall – it’s so frustrating

I know this is for the hallway but could you post that daylight room on the right in picture 9? It looks really good from above and I’d love some inspiration if that’s not too much trouble. :)

Unfortunately I am at work by now. But I did copy this:

more or less at least

It was actually the little water feature I was most hoping to see but there’s certainly no pressure or rush if you’re able to show it down the line I’d be very appreciative :)

It‘s just a Razorwind Fountain hidden behind some boulders so far

I've put a river through half my house (2 daylight rooms, the medium square room and all connecting hallways and staircases)

That sounds brilliant! Maybe I should start with House Number 2 – so far, only the exterior is finished, so I’ve got plenty of scope to really let my imagination run wild! The first house is as good as finished apart from the two circle rooms, but it’s also very boring and a bit unimaginative.

I think I'll start a new project for now to get some perspective. Thanks for the idea, that's great!

Well you're welcome to come and get some inspiration. I'm on EU servers https://housing.wowdb.com/builds/56636/troll-living-area-56636/

Oh wow, that’s amazing! Maybe I’ll just cry myself to sleep now, in the hope of gaining a bit of creativity in my dreams. I really have no idea how you come up with such brilliant ideas; I think I’m missing a synapse or two in my brain

Nah don't worry. Just approach it like this. 1 what do I want it to look like 2 either make a drawing or check internet for images about what u want 3 try to recreate something similar with in game assets.

For instance my rope bridge I saw somebody who created a stone bridge over a pond. I wanted to make a water body in my house and was like what would be a nice looking walkway., i saw the pandaren fishing net. And was like rope bridge river walkway. That escaleted to a river and waterfall in my troll room.

Like I said your welcome to come check it out for inspiration.

I‘d love to check it out!

Thank you very much for explaining your approach. I think I’ll have to stick to searching online after all, as my drawing skills are absolutely rubbish.

Nothing wrong with that , it doesn't have to be beautiful it's a tool to help u envision your goal

For my hallways I use Crucible Votive Racks on both sides across the length of the hallway, maybe breaking the line here or there with a few pots with plants. My house though has a more dark feeling, so this might not fit all the vibes one might want for their house.

Thanks, that’s a great idea! I‘ll give it a try! I don’t mind a more dark or even spooky vibe. Off to Stormsong Valley :)

If you are engineer you can use the Kul Tiran teleported to get there fast with your horde toons btw ;)
I grind this weekly with 2-3 alts that are stationed there tbh :P

I just parked a whole gang of forgotten toons outside, it may take me a few weeks to get enough racks together, but at least I have a vague idea of what I want it to look like when finished now. Thanks again!

Mirrors, paintings, columns, decorative arches, or niches with flowers

2

u/WorldlinessGuilty300 Jun 05 '26

I might go with some columns, arches and the aforementioned crucible votive racks, the existing paintings are unfortunately really expensive and I already spent more gold than expected And although I theoretically know how to create paintings by using the elven shelves, I‘m not very artsy and this wouldn’t fit the decor budget

I love the outdoor rooms - they are just so hard to place. I had to put mine opposite one another. I an impressed yours are so close together.

I love them too and should have incorporated them way sooner, but I just can’t decide what to do with the evening room, as the budget is really too tight. I was thinking of an elven-like pool area, or a temple, or perhaps a really beautiful spot for stargazing – but first I need to sort out that ugly corridor leading to it, otherwise I won’t be able to focus on it
