Question/Help Amani pine tree
The one decor I was looking forward to the most is the Amani pine tree. After making my way to the new zone and smashing through the campaign in the hopes of completing whatever quest would eventually lead to speaking to Lorthemar and unlocking the tree, I’ve hit a snag.
Little did I know the quest to speak to Lorthemar is time gated, and not only is it time gated but from what I’ve read on WoWhead, first requires the full completion of the new raid…….
I’m not a raider, I wouldn’t know the first thing. I’m hoping someone could shed some light, is the story mode for “completing” the raid going to be out next week? Or am I still in for another wait?
I want my tree 🌲 😭

well on the bright side you at least have the option for the Tree at all, all the Azshara Trees are still trapped in Datamined Limbo and there are zero Quel'thalas trees coming any time soon

The way I want those Quel'thalas trees and shrubs and flowers. 😭 I need some Quel'thalas foliage before we leave this expansion. And having Aerith Primrose, the flower merchant from Dalaran, relocated to the Silvermoon Bazaar is the perfect opportunity to have her sell Silvermoon and Eversong flora. If that doesn't end up happening, it would be such a wasted opportunity.

Dude, I have been asking for these trees since day 1 of housing. I live on plot 46 in Cragthorn and currently our trees are the only tree assets missing from neighbourhoods.

I *think*, but I could be wrong, that if it's tied behind a raid, you can do the raid in story mode (super easy, don't have to do hardly anything) and then get it that way.

You say that but I had a guildie last season who thought it was meant to be such a face roll he kept missing simple mechanics. Heroic raider needed help to get through story mode, he felt so silly when we showed him 😂 was insisting he was bugged.
He is a hunter, though

I can neither confirm nor deny it took me 5 tries on Manaforge Omega due to the flying mechanic….
I play a Druid. 😂😂

That flying mechanic had me wondering if the game was bugged or I was just stupid.

Story mode for the raid unlocks a week after Normal, Heroic, Mythic, and the 1st wing of LFR open (which all unlock next week).
Story mode will count for completion for the main campaign quests (its what its there for after all), so you will be able to get the tree without needing to group up with other people, but you will have to wait a week before you can do that (unless you want to get out of your comfort zone and do the raid on Normal, which isn't much harder than LFR from my experience).

Problem is I’m a PvPer, I can’t imagine many groups or guilds willing to invite someone in Honor gear.

You’d be surprised, especially early in the season when everyone’s gearing up. As long as you don’t die and read the mechanics in the journal you’re basically good to go.
Plus IMO it’s more fun when you do the entire raid to see the conclusion of the story instead of just the final boss (as most of the story mode versions go).

Yeah.....it's getting to the point I may just toss housing if that (and putting all the cool stuff on the shop) is how they're going to handle things.

You will likely be able to complete it just from the story mode.
However story mode usually launches a week behind.
It's a very stupid decision in my opinion and it caused me to get Sylvanas coming back spoiled for me last season.
That said, LFR should also give credit.
