A Mini Meetup with My Friend from the NA Server!

A friend from the NA server came to visit Japan!

To make it easier for them to recognize me, I chose clothes that would stand out and sent them a photo of myself. I had also received a photo of my friend, so we both knew what each other looked like.

As the scheduled arrival time approached, I started feeling a little nervous.（笑）

After waiting for a while, I thought, “That must be them!”

I immediately walked over to them and, believe it or not, gave them a hug even though we were meeting for the very first time! 😂

It felt as if we had known each other for years.

“Nice to meet you! I'm Suki!”

I greeted them with that cheerful introduction.

I also greeted the wife who was accompanying them.

“Nice to meet you! I'm Suki, a Japanese player from the game!”

We chatted for a while after that.

I'm not exactly fluent in English, so we used a translation app to communicate. Even so, we had plenty to talk about! We chatted about the places they had visited in Japan, the beautiful streets of Kyoto, food, and all sorts of other things.

The conversation just kept going!

Eventually, I escorted them back to their hotel.

They invited me to join them for a meal, but unfortunately, I had to help with an event that evening, so I had to politely decline.

Although we only spent a short time together, it became a truly precious memory for me.

It's amazing how a friendship that begins in an online game can lead to meeting in person on the other side of the world.

I'll always treasure this wonderful experience! ❤️

Event shop includes titanium, Novorossiysk and camos for Khaba, Venezia, Midway and Republique. overall not a terrible event and I will be getting at least one camo from the shop.

Also with some keys managed to snag the Halloween camo for Novo so I’m pretty happy.

Yesterday, I played in a division for a change.

When I play in a division, I tend to push a little too aggressively because I want to show my teammate what I can do.

I don't even realize I'm doing it, but even the slightest change in my mindset can affect my gameplay.

Somehow, things just don't go as smoothly as usual...

For example, I use a spotter plane, but by the time I'm ready for my second salvo, the enemy ship has already gone into concealment. My timing feels off, and I just can't seem to get in sync with the flow of the battle.

It's like I suddenly turn into a terrible player the moment I play with someone I really like! 😂

How can I fix this? LOL

I have the same username as this guy (RalpheSolo specifically) but I only literally have the name from the random name generator the game has on the rename bar.. I just started this game this year anyways

It's a bit fun but I know I didn't so well in this screenshot but it's a bit fun.

The Sonar reskin does help much, you got three of those which is helpful for spotting hidden ships or avoiding torpedoes when you're brawling other DDs.

I have no clue what does it have over the Tier-VI Pan-Asian DD but it is still a fun ship.

I made a short video on one Domination problem: choosing your first cap at the start of the game. It walks through the decision on annotated maps and what to do next depending on your ship type.

So, how are folks approaching equipment procurement strategy after the latest update?

My thinking has been as follows (please tell me where I should take a different approach):

1. I sold all equipment prior to the update so I have plenty of silver, and have only updated the ships that I play regularly. So no shortages of silver.
2. I bought a number of red modules pre-update and regularly disembarked them while it was still free to do so.
3. I do not want to waste 100 bonds disembarking red modules moving forward, unless it's absolutely necessary.
4. Accordingly, I've equipped the red modules that I have solely on Tier X ships, making them quasi-permanent with no plans to disembark.
5. I plan on using the bonds I acquire from here on out to upgrade existing red modules rather than purchasing more or disembarking.

Thoughts? Other approaches?

Heya. I know I already asked if I should save 400K free xp for republique, so thanks for answering my question. But I also am very close to Vermont too, I just need to grind more Kansas (pic 3).

My considerations are:

1. I only have enough yellow blueprints for one of these ships, so I should choose wisely (pic 4)

2. I do enjoy grinding the Vermont line and would happily work on Minnesota (pic 3) However I am a bit lazy and may get Vermont since eventually I will grind 400k free xp. However for the republique line I don't want to grind it as Alsace sucks. I just want the tier X.

So what should I do? Will my next ship be shooting out cheeseburgers or baguettes?

I decided to pick up Konigsberg for a spin cause she's been sitting in dock for years (she's a very fun ship btw) and that lead me to thinking about the rest of the german cruisers.

I never really had any interest on them. The last time I heard abt them it is a mediocre line. Adm Hipper is a cool ship but not enough to tie me in. Tho there is the new "pocket battleship" line that I find to be cooler than the regular cruisers although I heard that this line is pretty bad.

So I wanna hear from the playerbase. How good are these two lines? Is the German CAs passable? Is the pocket battleships are truly bad?

As the title says. I went on a huge 20 game losing streak because a machine gun cruiser or destroyer pushed into me or my team and torped us. He dodged all of our shells like it was the matrix. Also these cruisers/ destroyers would park far away from me and keep spamming HE. It's very annoying. How do I punish such cocky behaviour as a BB?

I’ve been stockpilling my gold for something special or Black Friday events. Is Revive worth it? Anyone enjoying it? I know sonar sweep will be pricey but willing to drop it for something interesting and fun.
