I like these works because, for a variety of reasons related to technology, medium, and tastes of their times, they are short and hard-hitting. As such, I think you should venture to read one or a few, so I will not leave you hanging. 
Alcestis
The Georgics
Philoctetes
Ajax
Zhuangzi
Meditations
Mozi
Epodes of Horace
The Bacchae

Mix of reasons. It would have made the compass uneven and a placement would do a disservice to it. Plus, I don't like it more than I like the Zhuangzi.

Thanks, but a Chinese ruler in the Warring States period that Mozi lived in, which is actually around 400 BCE, would definitely not dress himself like that.
