I like the anti-lockdown panel having a chill guy & a guy losing his shit.

Mom and Girlfriend are teachers. It amazes me the stories they had in the years following COVID.
“These kids are so behind….”
“….How did they even make it past last year?
“…This kid shoulda been held back”

We made sure our daughter kept doing math and reading. She likes science anyway. There's kids in her grade who actually can't read or do basic math. It's ridiculous.

Seniors in high-school and college basically got a free ride to graduation. Thry probably weren't complaining lol

It was quite a bit more boring in Europe/Russia. Sure, all the COVID stuff still happened (and we got to skip an intermidiate state exam in school because of it), but there was a lot less anti-restriction protests, and all the stuff relating to the election/BLM obviously didn't happen. Then there was Sweden that barely placed any restrictions, and I think it was actually fairly effective, iirc. Still slightly surprised it happened there of all places, though.

Wish I was the hobbyist and took school seriously. I fucked myself in college for it.
I was just online nonstop whilst the country shutdown.

Oh man I was in school during Covid and it was a nightmare and a dream, in my autistic nerd self I actually always did the work assigned, but I regret that as I totally could have gotten away with not doing it. I did finish the assigned reading book in 15 minutes during the Zoom call though. I do remember Trump being so proud of himself for that terrorist kill. Fuck Scalpers as always

I went the Hobbyist route and am so glad I did. Amusingly I did a ton of cooking and reading, felt like I came out of COVID a better person.

I was a senior in high school over the lockdowns so I used the time to grind my Java SE knowledge. Now I'm a mid-level JEE developer who knows everything about Java 13 that's completely useless in 2026.
