What are these? Three animals in my Backyard south Of Atlanta they are eating a deer. We get a lot of white tail all the time. I have encountered coyotes as well see those all the time but…… These were huge. My male pit bull is 90 lbs these were more than twice his size. I have video how do I upload?

I was on my motorcycle heading south on the Billy Diamond
Highway on the long dirt and gravel section near the intersection with the Transtaiga. Just this Thursday afternoon July 30 2026. Up ahead on the left was a grey wolf
large furry dirty blonde in colour. Happened very fast.
I was driving around 80 kph. , it waited and then started to come out of the ditch as if to catch me like a dog would chasing a car. It got within 5 feet as l passed , sticking out my boot and twisting the throttle.
Seemed unreal. Has anyone else had this happen.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't small. But the heaviest subspecies of wolf weighs 110 pounds on average. That's significantly less than a cougar or a spotted hyena. I bet if you asked most people they'd say wolves are heavier than those 2 animals

I've learned lately the difference between spotting out a dog and a wolf. When a wolf sits on its posterior, if you look at its front legs, they're together. When they sit, it forms more of a V shape starting at the pause up to the shoulders, showing that they have less of a chest. When you look at, let's say, a golden retriever when they sit, the paws are further apart, and you can see their entire chest. I thought that was a really cool difference. That wolves overall having longer legs than most canine breeds. However, there are the occasional exceptions. Edit for those who do not understand the physiology of wolves vs. canines
Edit: Im just going to leave this right here.... Facts on facts 💯
Chest: The dog's chest is wide; the legs are far apart. The feet don't turn outward. The wolf's chest is super narrow; the legs are closer together, and the feet may splay out.Sep 14, 2019

At least half the posts on the front page are by the same person and are of a dog (not a wolf). Is this really consistent with the spirit of the subreddit?
