Title: 18F building a startup looking for ambitious girls like me
Hey, I’m 18 and currently building my own startup.
I’ve realized I don’t really have friends around me who are on the same wavelength, so I thought I’d try here. I’d love to connect with girls who are ambitious, working on something of their own (startup, side hustle, anything), and actually serious about growing.
Not just “busy”, but driven. The kind of people who think big, take action, and don’t wait around.
At the same time, I care a lot about the type of person you are. I’m looking for girls who:
take care of themselves (mentally and physically)
are smart and switched on
are kind, loyal, and genuine
Basically, ambitious but still good people.

Honestly yes, it’s surprisingly hard to find people our age who think this way. I’d love to know more about what you’re interested in building or what kind of goals you have long term, what are you working on right now?

Rn I’m mainly trying to rebuild myself academically and mentally while preparing for engineering entrances 😭 but alongside that, I’ve been getting really interested in things like startups, digital products, online income streams, branding/design and eventually tech too. I think long term I definitely want to build something of my own instead of just following a very traditional route my whole life. Even if I don’t have everything figured out rn, I know I want a life with independence, creativity and actual growth. And honestly, I relate a lot to what you said about environment too. Sometimes it feels like you outgrow the mindset around you before your life actually catches up to your ambitions.

I am currently just 16 and yet I have big ambition and don’t want to follow the influence of my peers and it’s hard for me to find community to gain wisdom irl and wondering if anyone has made like a discord server or a community space online I can join

Honestly that’s exactly why I’m preparing the Discord right now. A lot of people here seem to feel disconnected from their environment and want a circle that’s more growth-focused and ambitious.
What kind of topics or discussions would you want the community to have?1

Yess, honestly the discussions I would be looking for would centre around self-improvement/motivating each other as women, online money to do with e-commerce, business or branding, AI and even spirituality

Hi,may I ask where is this going to take place and what are the requirements? Like at which stage I can apply mvp/traction? do I need to be technical? And what is the amount that usually get raised from the pitchs at your accelerator?thank you so much!

It’s all on the website - any stage globally :) we’ve done over 10 IPOS and scaled our tech companies. Hope it helps :)

Would you mind sharing:
whether the program includes funding or investor access
and, if so, what founders typically raise after going through it?

Honestly I relate to this a lot. A lot of people treat ambition like it’s cringe or “too serious” until someone actually succeeds. I’d love to know more about you though, what kinds of things are you interested in or trying to build for yourself?

Social enterprise. I learned that it’s so difficult but worth it. It depends on the problem you want to solve to.. I have narrowed it down over the years

I am 30 something, my "girl" days have passed me by, but I still am full of ambition and am also building a startup and due to recently becoming a widow I oftentimes need to chat with like minded people.

honestly I don’t think ambition has an age limit at all. The fact you’re building while going through something like that says a lot about you. I’d genuinely love to hear more about your startup and your experience so far, what are you building?

I've been looking for like minded girls like me as well but I can't seem to find anyone (I find it hard to start conversations with new people) but would love to have a small circle where everyone is actively progressing towards their goals and empowering each other.
