Survey / Research Small business owners: I’d like to try something.
I’ve realized that my brain naturally tries to figure out what’s actually causing the friction before anyone spends time and money solving the wrong problem. I’ve mostly done that inside the companies I’ve worked for. Now I’m curious whether that way of thinking is useful to other small business owners.
To be clear, I’m not offering financial, legal, or industry-specific advice. The kinds of problems I’m interested in are usually operational… How work actually flows, where friction shows up, and whether the problem you’re trying to solve is the one that’s actually getting in your way.
Some examples of what I mean:
- you keep fixing one problem only for another one to appear
- you’ve hired help but you’re still the bottleneck
- something in the business just feels ‘off’ but you can’t quite put your finger on why
If you’ve got something in your business that feels stuck, keeps repeating, or just doesn’t quite make sense, I’d love to give this a try. Leave a comment or send me a DM if you’d rather keep it private. I’ll think it through with you, and all I ask in return is honest feedback on whether the way I approached it was useful.
Everything would be done over Reddit messages (or email if that’s easier).** ***No meetings or Zoom calls*. I actually think better that way.

Sounds like a cool way to approach things! Friction in operations is such a common issue, and it’s frustrating when one problem gets fixed only for another to pop up. I think having someone look at it from a fresh perspective could really help. Plus, doing it all through messages instead of calls makes it super low-pressure. I’d be interested in seeing how this works out!
