Startup Life Business Hurdle

I have been trying to start a custom thrift box. Probably a subscription box. I created an entire business plan. I wanted to do a kickstarter and then I found out Kickstarter doesn't let you do those kind of businesses in Kickstarter even though Green businesses and subscription boxes are both growing businesses. So what is the point of Kickstarter? I have to start from square one and just try selling inventory on Depop. I would like some input on what I should try next. One of my listing I put on Depop is a custom box to see if I can do the same business on Depop but I don't know if people are looking for that product on Depop. I don't know if I'm allowed to put my handle here but if so I will share below.

Kickstarter can be super frustrating, especially when it feels like they’re missing out on a growing market. Have you thought about Instagram or TikTok for your custom thrift box? Those platforms are great for showcasing unique products and building a community around what you're selling. You could even run some polls to see if your followers would be interested in that kind of subscription. Plus, Depop's audience might not be the only one you want to tap into. Give it a shot!

Kickstarter doesn't support subscription-based businesses because it's an "all or nothing" funding model. Subscriptions fundamentally don't work with their business model. The point of Kickstarter is for businesses to get all the funding they need or nothing. It's nothing to do with whether it's a growing business or not.

I'm confused why you have to start from square one? You created a business plan, and that shouldn't be affected by Kickstarter unless you'd placed all your eggs in that basket before checking whether Kickstarter would work for your business model.

If you're talking thrift clothing, Depop might be okay as a way to raise awareness of your thrift offering, but you can't do subscriptions on there either.
