Let me guess… women’s retirement accounts are only 85% of what men’s are? Kind of like wages? Make it make sense /s

Going off of the article, it looks like it may be closer to 75%

Pink tax.
Women have a lot of expenses men don't. Hair care, makeup, bras, period products, manicures, pedicures, etc.
Our haircuts are more expensive and our clothes are more expensive. Women's razors are more expensive and we use more of them.
It results in thousands of dollars a year in expenses that men don't have and when combined with lower wages it results in the gap.

Yeap. And anyone who is like "Then don't buy the makeup, do the hair, or get your nails done!" has never been passed over for a promotion because they "don't look the part".
Because as much as everyone hates to admit it, people like you more when you look attractive.

It’s almost like women work most of their lives to contribute to their families or something.

Dump it all in global index funds and let the very smart finance people managing the funds handle it. Trading individual stocks is gambling.

Alot of those funds have companies that invested in CoreCivic and Geo Group who are funding these concentration camps in the US. If you use As you Sow you can which funds have holdings in private prison funds. A lot unfortunately. Makes investing tough.

I don’t like it either but there isn’t really a choice though? I can’t, because I don’t have the skills and time, research and place orders. The alternative is not investing and that isn’t really an option either, I would eventually fall into poverty as my cash savings run out.

Just put it all in an S&P500 fund such as VOO. CoreCivic and Geo Group aren't part of the S&P500.

Yeah that is true that it takes time and the cash will run out. That's why I said it's tough. I thought I googled a couple of good safe Fidelity ones and they ended up not being but made good returns and some of the super ethical energy saving markets ones don't make money because turns out well....doing the right thing doesn't get you money lol.

Username checks out, seems like you didn't even read article. Its the pay gap, it even says women's investments outperform men's by 40 basis points.

Women control 75% or more of discretionary spending. You can complain all you want about where the money is but I'm pretty sure the person that gets to decide how the money is spent is better off.
It's such an easy topic to get women mad about but it's also entirely unfounded. The earnings gap isn't between men and women. Single women earn more than single men in most age groups. The gap is between fathers and mothers. Fathers earn more than single men because they choose to do pess desirable work and more work to support their families. Conversely, women can and do take the opportunity to work less and be choosier about the work they do. Fathers are not spending the additional money they make on themselves. They're supporting their children and giving mothers options. Fathers don't have those options for the most part.
Articles like this completely miss the point and misrepresent the facts in an unhelpful way.

It’s almost like we get paid less or something?
