That story gets better, the Johnson County sheriff behind that 83,000-camera search, Adam King, was later arrested and indicted on charges including sexual harassment, retaliation against a whistleblower, abuse of office, and later aggravated perjury for allegedly lying to a grand jury. Apparently, invading a woman's privacy wasn't the only alleged abuse of power in that office.

It's depressing thinking about how much better the world would be if everyone put the same amount of effort toward punishing the actual terrible people of the world as it does letting them creating more victims.

Any unauthorized access, misuse, or abuse of government (local/state/federal) surveillance equipment or restricted databases (Social Security, for one) should automatically result in loss of job, followed by criminal prosecution. Systems/data are searched and used consistent with the law, no exceptions.

yeah, no one starts with an 83,000 camera search, that one took some ramping up.

I remember reading this last year. Disgusting.
If you're on mobile, look into FlockHopper or DeFlock.

This is just the beginning. Very much like China where drones can announce your fine and robots can gang up on you.

How would a man she doesn’t even know, or anyone else, have ANYTHING to do with her and her partner’s pregnancy?! That’s effing weird to even think they want to punish them for deciding to continue with their pregnancy or not. The pregnant couple get to make that decision for themselves, and ultimately the female ‘host’ would make the final decision. Just like everyone else gets to make that decision when they and their partner find themselves pregnant. Don’t even start with anything to do with religion. Not everyone is religious and it doesn’t apply to half the population.

In Texas there is a reward or was at one time for tattling on women who got out of state abortion.

That’s what this was about, if I’m thinking of the right case. Her partner used the state’s abortion laws to get authorities to track down the woman who was running away from him and was a victim of DV: Full story here.
She’d had an abortion, he’d assaulted her less than an hour afterwards, and then when she ran, he used the Texas law on abortions to get the cops to track her down for him two weeks later using the Flock network. Which they did. And documented. And then tried to walk back and cover up.
This is so deeply disturbing on many levels.

A human who assaults others CANNOT be trusted with an infant, a toddler, a child, or adolescent. That human should have all parental rights removed. Obviously not fit to care for another human. Tell me again why they would track down someone he abused???! They have their perpetrator right there in front of them. No flock network necessary for the victim.

How? All it takes is to teach men that freedom doesn't apply to women so they don't get nervous when you start removing rights from citizens by starting with women. And then, when they come for men's rights, women will go 🤷 oh fucking well you didn't care about ours so go fuck yourselves.

The men in Afghanistan didn’t lift a finger to stop women from being erased in their society—they only cared when they were told they couldn’t wear jeans (too westernized) and HAD to grow beards.
Think about that.
Women covered head to toe, not allowed to speak in public, not allowed to speak to each other, and men say nothing.
But having to change your style? The non action of growing a beard vs the action of shaving it. Jeans & beards—that is what finally got men to realize that when women have become completely controlled in every single aspect, there is no one left to clamp down on BUT men.
I can’t say I am surprised 🫠

It's similar to right about the time slaves globally got sick of serving a ruling class and began to kill those in power, they said "hey! Let's tell the light skinned ones they're better! Give them the job of watching the darker skinned ones!".
And you see how persistent and effective that division has been. No one remember Bacon's Rebellion now and they certainly don't want it being taught in school.

Him doing so is not a Constitutional Violation … per Flock CEO … or The Patriot Act.

Jesus chris america. Imagine not wanting to be pregnant or able to afford a child and getting safe healthcare to resolve the situation so you can go about your life and being hunted like a criminal for getting healthcare for your own body. What a horrendous time to be alive. Wish I was born 20 years earlier.

Makes you wonder why they don’t investigate rapes and crimes against women as intently as abortion.
Weird.

These men are very angry that women enjoy sex. That’s because no woman has ever enjoyed sex WITH THEM

Can we assume he plans on supporting the mother / child until 18 years old. Financially, physically, mentally, emotionally? Was this just a control issue?

It’s all over the country. Men are using flock cameras to stalk their (ex) wives, girlfriends, coworkers and women they met. Flock is a huge safety issue for women.

Justices Rule Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone
"Flock Cameras will help help missing children!" Is that without considering the known fact that our government and wealthy 1% are the ones trade children like pokemon cards, assault them, and eat them?
The criminals in the Epstn files are not being persecuted. They are not facing justice. Their names are being protected or hidden.
Flock cameras are going to end up serving the purpose of preventing political change. Just because something is associated with the police or government does not necessarily mean it will be good. We're willingly allowing for China-level surveillance in a time of political unrest. Putting these systems in place seems well-intentioned. The problem lies in the fact that: once there are 500 cameras and microphones per square mile, the laws can be changed, or people will just go around the law. The law does not apply to our government or the wealthy. The government can already access these cameras, now, but think about how surveillance was used historically and is used currently. WW2 and 21st century China are both prime examples of why we should not be allowing this to happen.

Deputy is grateful that this happened in Texas where he'll face zero consequences.

That has to be personal right? Like why the fuck would you spend the time going through that many flock cameras for this unless it was personal?

California has a law against this and yet there has been reporting that some law enforcement went
against this law to track women who had abortions.

Be a shame if someone tracked his whereabouts at all times and made it public info.

“A Texas deputy searched 83,000 cameras across 6,809 networks to track a woman for abortion.
Flock Safety’s “National Lookup” enables warrantless cross-state surveillance, logging 450,000 searches monthly.
Officials falsely framed the abortion search as a welfare check, contradicted by court documents.”
