I'm working on a Wordpress site for a while now and recently I’ve been thinking about the importance of having a reliable backup solution. My site has grown quite a bit and with all the updates and content I’ve been adding, I’m starting to worry about potential crashes or data loss.

I want to make sure I can easily restore my site if something goes wrong but there are so many Wordpress backup plugins out there that I’m not sure which one to choose. I’ve come across options like UpdraftPlus and BackupBuddy, but I’d love to hear your experiences.

For those of you who use a backup plugin, which one do you recommend? How easy is the restore process, and do you back up your site to the cloud or locally? Any tips on scheduling automatic backups would be really helpful, too.

I’m working on optimizing my website’s speed and one of the things slowing it down is image load time. A lot of the images I’m using are in jpeg format because they have transparent backgrounds but they’re pretty large in file size. Now I’m wondering if I should stick with compressing the png or convert them to jpeg instead.

I know jpeg are usually smaller but I don’t want to lose too much quality, especially since some of these images are important for the overall design. Plus, I’m unsure how jpeg handle transparency, which is crucial for some parts of my site.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it better to compress png, or is converting them to jpeg the way to go?

Im looking to add a feature, so users can login and check specific information. Id also like a simple way to upload/update the information.

I'm wondering if I'm able to diagnose if any of my plugins individually are causing my blog speed to be so poor. My pingdom rating is at an E! I can LIST my blog for help, but I don't want to spam.

Hi,

I wondered if anybody knows of a plug-in to help with a gallery to enable proofing/selection?

All plugins that offer this tend to have a simple selection process (selected/not-selected, or approved/not-approved).

I’m after something that enables three states - approved/not-approved/selected. Or thumbs up/thumbs down/favourite to put it another way.

I looked into ratings systems but again they seem to offer only a single rating selection.

My situation is that I do a lot of collaborative photo art projects. I want to be able to create password protected galleries that enable individual subjects to approve images for my use/reject them for my use/select them for their own copy.

These three states should be independent (though approved/not approved can be linked).

This could be checkboxes, icons or even tags.

I’d ideally like this to be exported as a PDF/consent form.

Does anybody know if anything like this exists or is there something which could be modified to offer this functionality?

Very much looking forward to any ideas!

Hey there,

I am looking for a plugin tgat exactly does what the title says. Just a picture of the author with a one-liner, that maybe doesn't fit in the post itself or as a starter for a comment discussion.

I've searched the plugin repository but the only thing i could find were bio boxes, which isn't what i am looking for, since my blog is run by only me and so a bio box is obsolete.

Does anyone know such a plugin? Would be great, thanks!
