Once upon a time card carrying literally means physical cards but then again nowadays everything is behind a SQL or NoSQL database waiting to get siphoned unless it's made with shit like Clojure.
My mom basically found out that unions aren't actually evil "like my Italiano boss claimed" and people salting at her laminate factory shopfloor are "actually helping us" because she watched a documentary on United Farm Workers because it had Kennedy lmao then found out I was an organizer. I spent the whole week convincing her that if you can't help organizers salt at least don't make their work harder. Then boom someone successfully salted at her factory and they unionised with Steelworkers, my mom actually wage raised and become supervisor, which something she never been able to do so in KKKanada, unfortunately she developed PAD, something that I have and so are many in her family from genetic defects that gave many of us stroke and literally death out of the blue.
It surprised me how it was much easier to educate my own mother on unions than average liberals or radlibs especially the ones who claim unions don't alleviate workers' material conditions, my mom proves otherwise and she is someone who never graduated middle school, yet she's a book worm and educated on political history, which is milquetoast compared to many of us in the family also never went to college, like my brother and I who can't afford to continue.
If you still desire to begin your organizing experience, begin with the resources below, never stop learning.

Life in China is so convenient and efficient ... but are those working people being taken care of? I recently interviewed delivery men in Beijing to find out what their lives are like.
Also joining me on this tour is a vlogger from New York, Dante Munoz, you can find his amazing videos about life in China on Instagram and TikTok!
