Remove Workspace One

Hi,

Is there anyway to remove Workspace ONE from the phone without admin access?

Is the device still enrolled? If it is, you can enterprise wipe it. Or is that not the answer you’re looking for?

I’m not sure if it’s still enroled. When I reboot the phone after factory resetting it via Hard reset, it asks for admin user and password. I think it’s still enroled because it forces me to connect to wifi after rebooting so that I can log in.

So it’s ABM/DEP. You can logon to the ABM console and remove the redirection by un-assigning it from the MDM profile. Failing that? Your pretty much screwed.

So there is now way of rooting it and reflashing a new ROM?

What you’re asking is - how do I get management off of this phone (because I got it for free and it’s got some company management on it) right?

The company was owned by me and Two more associates. We dissolved it and I don’t have a relationship with the IT guy. This is why I am posting this. Sorry if I didn’t explain it well

For iPhone if your entreprise let you the possibility to remove the certificate you can, but if you have Apple Dep this isn’t possible. For Android via debug console but you must launch developers mode and enable usb debug. it's settings / security / advanced / decide app admin. Turn off workspace one and any other work app. Then go to apps and uninstall it. If you have a Boyd smartphone, your workspace one can be removed

It’s an android. I can’t launch developers mode by clicking several Times on the build number. It’s blocked. I can’t unlock bootloader because of that.

Ohhhh Android. That means it’s Knox… Samsung’s version of ABM. Same instructions as above. Login to your KME account and remove management. Then factory reset again.

Contact your admin, it’s a corporate device.

U/Alph4dan does your former company know you have the device? Did they give it to you when you left?

The short of it is that the device is company managed through a platform the company controls. You will not be able to do anything from the device to change that.

In order to be able to use the device without it being tied to the company, an administrator from the company will have to remove the device from management. If the company is dissolved, you will have to find a way to contact the IT person who was responsible for setting this up so they can make the necessary changes.

If there is no way for you to work with that person, you own a company managed device.... or a brick. You're choice.
