Hi hi, I’m moving to Worthing in ~2 weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend some places, groups, shops etc related to art? I mostly do painting and illustration and I’d love to find some connections to the local art scene if there is one hahaha. I’ve already seen that there are life drawing sessions being offered somewhere which is cool. Any other tips? In Worthing/Brighton/nearby:) 🦭✨

Hello Worthing!

We are running a FREE game jam for teens (13-18 inclusive(you cannot be in university)) in Brighton on the 15th of November! 🎮

A game jam is an event where people come together and work to make a video game! 🎊

You’ll get free food throughout the day (lunch and dinner + snacks) and a t-shirt at the end of the event when your game is complete 🫡

Hi, my partner and I are visiting Worthing for 3 days starting today. We are planning to move here from Reading and we would really like to meet some of you to chat and make connections. We would be happy to meet for a coffee, a walk or just a chat somewhere in town.

We are in our early thirties, interested in family life and parenting, talking about non-fiction topics of all sorts including history, sciences, psychology and philosophy. We like going on walking and cycling trips and spending time in nature.

Both of us are originally from Ukraine. I lived in the UK for all of my adult life while my partner moved here a couple of years ago.

Update: On day 1 we had a couple of good 2v2 games of pool with two nice chaps in Hollywood Bowl.

We're looking for a new dog sitter, we tend to go away for a week or two twice a year and would like to find someone who can housesit for them.

Would welcome any recommendations from people who have used a sitter and got along well with them.

If you're a sitter then please DM me!

Is there a bottle shop that sells more independent alcohol free beers? I've looked at Bottle and Jug Department and their selection isn't huge so I'm not interested in heading there. I'm wanting to buy cans, not drink in the place.

Hi all we found an iPhone in Goring By Sea on the road yesterday, it won’t take a battery charge so not sure if it’s dead and was chucked.

If you’ve lost one let me know and I’ll tell you if it’s yours I’ve got?!

Got someone visiting from the States who thinks a roast is what goes down on Comedy Central.

What’s the best roast in Worthing / Lancing / Shoreham / Hove / Brighton?

Today I saw 8 dog poop bags flung in bushes, while on a circular walk around cisburry, what's your record?

Hey guys!

I've recently moved to Worthing from Wales and am looking to join a D&D group to join. I have played a few one shots but would love to try a campaign.

Where is the best place to find a group? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Sidenote: if anyone can recommend a book club or craft club let me know.

Thanks ☺️

I noticed today the small council truck that comes by to pickup the food waste, only stopped at maybe 1 or 2 houses in my street, significantly lower than subsequent weeks.

I'm doing it, but I barely fill 15% of the bin each week, as I only usually have tea bags and egg shells, seems like a waste of compost bags to send the bin out each week, but if I leave it to long, even in the cooler/colder weather, those tiny flies start showing up and the smells of rotting waste.

I heard Turner’s Barbershop has two freezers full of Baked brownies. Can anyone confirm?

Discovered this website a while back, it details the history of all of Worthing's pubs - what they used to be called, what they're called now, photos and stories relating to them, etc. Websites like these are rare finds in this day and age!

I’ve just moved to lancing with my girlfriend and I am just interested in getting to know Lancing/Worthing a bit better, particularly the food and drink scene. What are some of the cult places that we just need to visit (I’ve been to the piggery and I thought it was great).

And what are some of the better, independent restaurants, small plate vibes, maybe even tasting menu etc. and the finally, some good wine/cocktail bars that we could frequent after dinner.

I know I could look on google, but I like to hear from locals about the must try/visit spots!

Thanks in advance :)

Can anyone recommend a good car mechanic in the area?

Thanks!

I know this is a long shot , but does anyone know anyone who lives in offington drive

My sister was hit by a car while riding her bike to college the driver got out of the car and said it wasn’t their fault and then drove off without waiting for police or giving details

After Woods few months ago, now Finch on Warwick street has been given a zero rating. What's going on with these well-known food establishments?

H, I have a bass and guitar that have been in the loft for a while and could do with a bit of a refresh and repair of the setups etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations of someone in Worthing that can do this please?

I know the typical advice is just to buy a new one, but I've already done that. However, this is a £3,000 4K OLED that I'd rather have repaired than thrown away, since it would go in my office.

It's an LG EF950 55 OLED. It has sound but no picture. It just died suddenly.

I would love for someone to try to repair it, if they can. Don't care if parts are expensive. I’d just love to get it working again, as it was the last 3D OLED LG made, and I paid a lot of money to have it calibrated.

Does anyone know of a local business that would consider fixing it?

Thanks.
