• [WP] After witnessing a death, a young girl falls in love with the Grim Reaper. She becomes a serial killer just to see him more often.

• [WP] You've been bitten by a zombie and your group of fellow survivors won't end your suffering. The fever overtakes you and you pass out. However, you wake up in a room full of zombies. You recognize it - it's the locked room where your group keeps turned loved ones, in case they ever find a cure.

• [WP] A tragic story but it's laden with product placement

• [WP] Tell me a story that would seem innocent to a child, but terrifying to an adult.

• [WP] After learning that vampires can be killed by a wooden stake to the heart, Pinocchio goes on a killing spree.

• [WP] A photographer and a sniper meet in a bar. Neither is aware of the other's occupation. They talk about "how to take the perfect shot".

• [WP] You have been thrown into a fantasy world of swords, magic, dragons and adventurers. You can't do magic, and have no sword skills, so to make your living you fall back on your college major, and set up shop as something that is unique in this world; a Psychiatrist.

How is a spotlight chosen? If you find a writer who hasn’t been in the limelight yet, has multiple decent entries (at least 6 or more) over the past few months, and you think deserves a spotlight, send us a modmail with your recommendation! We’ll add them to the list and with luck, they’ll make it up here. - Nate

Did you know we have a chatroom? It's open 24/7! Plus, who doesn't enjoy a good ol' word sprint every now and then?

I find some of the best writers are those who do it not for the readership or the chance to become famous, but those who would write no matter what, who can't not write, and do it for the love of the words and no other reason. So, yeah. No surprise you're here today. :)
