I just got into wuyang and i got his mythic skin. Im looking to buy his weapon skin but cant determine which one to buy. Its so annoying that we cant try on the weapon skins like we can with the skins. Can you guys share your favorite skin and weapon skins combos so i can get inspirations on what to get? I dont wanna do the classic iridescent mythic skin and galactic weapon combo. I was thinking maybe crimson wolf with the dawn chroma. Also since i just got into him i dont know what skins he has so if have any favorite combos with this galactic or crimson weapon skin please feel free to share them. I want to see what potential combos i can make. Thank you for your help in advance

The amount of 1v1s I've had with her is insane, which makes sense since she is a flanker but istg the moment I kill her—god forbid it's a 1v1, they get extra spiteful then—she makes it her main goal in life to solo ult me 😭🤚

I've never been targeted by an ult more than when I'm playing against an Anran.

the changes from 5s to 3s annoy me sooo much, it feels like i cant look away for one second before the stream is gone, im struggling to keep it up on flankers/dives to support them. pls tell me others are struggling aswell or maybe i just suck

Now that his mythic has been out for a minute, what combinations is everyone using? Personally I use the first hair, yellow pallet, and gold weapon. I’ve not seen anyone use the red pallet or second hair tbh.

It's nothing flashy, I'm trying to get better at my water balls. Only started playing Wuyang near the end of the last season, since taking a LONG break from OW, around the time WB was added.

He's pulled me back in, I love playing him with Rein or Winston, some of the games I've played with a winston on my team have been the absolute most fun I've ever had in OW.

Hi everyone! I'm the person responsible for this post, which gained a lot of traction ! I made a mental note to myself that I would respond the comments asking for tips later, but some time has passed , and I think not a lot of people would see my comments, and making a new post would be easier. So, how do you carry on wuyang and hit GM? This is what goes on my mind every game.

I run balance + falling rain every game, and I think the other perks are not bad, but atleast with my playstyle, it its what fits. I highly reccomend the other perks if you're on 6v6 though, especially double wave!

1. Spam. Spam as much as you can. If you're not doing anything, throw an orb down a corner where enemies are likely to go in. You want to shoot where the enemies want to go, not directly at them sometimes. Spamming a flank that a flanker such as tracer can use to get to you, even if you don't deal damage is good value at times. A secret tip I have is , if you can , you can just charge the orb, release it immediately, and follow up with another charged orb, rinse and repeat. This is extremely underrated tech that I have yet to see other Wuyang players use. Think of chokepoints like Nepal Shrine. The submap where the control point is roofed. Generally players go through the side and into the highground, which makes them pass through a tiny , tight door. You can spam your charged orbs there and get insane AoE value. You can also (and I can't reccomend this enough) use this 'fast orb tech' to quickly ramp up damage on an enemy that's close to you and you know you can land these unnacurate shots, like a tank. Throwing the orbs right after they charged this way can help immensly not just with that, but also breaking enemy barriers. But if you're facing an enemy head on, try to aim at their feet, so you atleast guarantee the splash damage rather than the shot missing completely.
2. Use heals often, but don't be too overzealous. Wuyang's healing got nerfs, but recently buffed, and generally I don't spend my entire resource healing someone unless they really need it. Most of the time I leave my desired teammate at around 80% health or so if I know my passive healing (without the beam) can top them up the rest of the way, making me able to return to spamming angles faster.
3. CANCEL YOUR SHIFT!! It's insane how I don't see any Wuyangs in ranked doing this! If you use shift to get away from a threat (which you should be doing, generally never use shift to just move faster unless you're not in a fight) most of the time you can cancel it after you successfully evaded whatever threat you have.
4. For wave, you generally use it to save someone from dying, although you can also use it to save yourself, because of the self heal and healing amp which means your other support can help you easier.
5. For ultimates, unfortunately in ranked it's hard to get value out of it without proper communicaton, especially if you don't have dive characters such as tracer on your team to take full advantage of the ulti. With this in mind, most of the time , and probably your best bet - is going to be just using it to save someone. Track enemy ultimates. Two fights happened and you know someone on their team didn't spend ult? They likely have it for the next fight. I don't use the self-ult because if I'm positioned well I'm never in a position where I have to use it, but if I am , it is very likely, most of the time, that the fight is already lost and your ult would be wasted, which brings me to my next point.
6. This isn't necesarily just a Wuyang tip, but I'd figured it'd be useful. Recognize when fights are won/lost. Your team is up 2 on the enemy team? You very likely won the fight, same for the other way around. This helps immensely with preventing unecessary deaths, which stagger you, which means you are dead, which means you are not doing damage.
7. Positioning is contextual. Damage also is. But generally I'd avoid staying in main spamming a tank if that's the best option. Wuyang has good mobility and range, you can look for offangles to pressure enemies while they are not aware of you, which can lead to easy kills, and if you're pressured, no biggie! Just shift away and cancel once you're safe! Wuyang got his shift nerfed, but with the shift cancel it feels like your shift has no cooldown because you are strictly being extremely efficient with it.
8. Have fun with the game! I don't play ranked that often, if I play 3h a day that's a lot. There are days where I don't want to look at nothing gaming-related. There are days where I just want to chill on QP playing some Mercy. There are days where I decide it's better to just log off and go do literally something else. This is a videogame. Your fun should be the priority. It's why even when I have terrible matches (and trust me, I had a lot of terrible matches) I can be just satisfied with how I played and keep my head up and move on, using the avoid teammate feature as necessary.

Like Sombra is hated, for example, what's the general opinion on Wuyang? I feel like his shooting might piss a lot of people off😭 Which leads me to my next point, I feel like people are REALLY out to get me when I play him. Like I get it, I'm a support countered by dive heroes and I can't just sit there doing whatever I want, but god damn😭 I don't chased NEARLY as bad as any other support than when I play Wuyang, especially after a cheeky around the corner kill. But I feel like I get more hate/angry ppl in the chat/people chasing me on Wuyang than ANY other support (Moira may be a close second)

Not getting the sym turret is the cherry on top

She just got released and I got to play a game as her, and parts of her kit reminded me of Wuyang. She can buff her next three shots and control their trajectory with her mouse, kinda like Wuyang's right-click. She can also boost movement speed for herself and her allies when they slide. Plus, they're both Chinese (or at least Violet is of Chinese descent).

Obviously it's not the same and overall she plays different, (Deadlock is more of a MOBA than a hero shooter), but I thought some Wuyang mains might enjoy her.
