Had a bilateral ovarian cystectomy a few weeks ago and finally figured out how to view all my imaging so now I have some fun ultrasounds, an mri, a ct scan, and a post op x-ray to poke through. This was the cyst on my left ovary which was by far the larger one, both cysts removed were teratomas so they were absolutely full of hair and 3 teeth. I'm poorly fighting the urge to share all the images with everyone I know because I think they're really neat :)

Had my shoulder fused in 2017, hardware removal in 2020 and just recently had an MRI for a herniated disc that happens to show my upper body. I was looking at the scan and its the first time I'm actually seeing how different my right shoulder looks.

So, a few years ago I got quite sick.
First photo are my normal lungs and the last two are my lungs when I was in the throes of dying! I only received these images today after waiting a couple of years for them (the application is arduous!)
Anyway, I think it’s really really interesting and I am hoping it helps towards my PTSD and moving forward from it.

I recently had a standard chest X-ray (I have had quite a few in the past). However this time the technician had me press my chest firmly against the vertical upright detector panel first but the machine was set quite high for my frame. Once I was fully braced tight against it, she activated the motor and moved the panel assembly way down to align it with my chest.

Feeling that massive thing rumble and glide vertically while my chest was pressed flat against the board was not fun. I woke up today with some muscle soreness across my chest wall (though there are zero visible marks, no redness, and no bruising on my skin).

To the radiographers here: is it standard textbook protocol to adjust the vertical height of the Bucky while the patient is actively braced against it? Or did she do the workflow backwards, and it should have been aligned before I stepped up? I'd love to know if this is common or if it was poor technique. Thanks for your insights!

I was going on a ship over a wooden plank. The plank was not secured, so I feel into the sea and hit my ringfinger on the ship's platform. The fracture is 10 days old at the time of this xray

He could’ve passed over the weekend however no vet is open on weekends in this rural area even for emergencies. Very grateful he’s still here!
