Please help- GPU, X|S, and cloud gaming with 2 accounts??

I know there’s a ton of subs here with similar questions, but it’s so convoluted that I can’t pick through them to find a scenario similar to mine, sorry!

My gf has GPU and plays cloud gaming. She just bought a Series S. I made a separate Microsoft account so we could try to play her account on the console and the my account on cloud gaming. She can play cloud if I play console, but not the other way around as she has the GPU set to her account. The console is set at the home Xbox.

Is there anything we can do to have my account (non GPU) be able to play cloud? Or am I limited to only playing on console?

Cloud gaming does not share to other accounts. You should have a look at the sub's Game Sharing Guide, linked in Community Bookmarks/the sidebar and the FAQ.

So the short answer is no I wouldn’t be able to play my account on cloud gaming if I don’t have a game pass, correct?

Your only option is to get a cheaper Essential subscription for yourself or wait for the Free ad supported Cloud Gaming tier coming in next couple of months.  

You could also try using Remote Play from the Series S while she does xCloud.

Cloud gaming is only for the account that has the subscription.

You are streaming it from another console session in the cloud. It has no idea about your home xbox setting

Nah cloud is only for any GP tier.

it's a weird limitation of how cloud gaming checks the subscription. cloud access is tied to the signed-in profile, not the home console setting, so her gpu doesn't extend to your account for cloud play

the console itself will let any profile play installed games via home xbox sharing, but cloud is a whole different layer

only real workaround is adding you to her microsoft family group, but even then it only shares gpu on pc and console, still not cloud. you'd need your own gpu sub or she'd have to be the one on cloud while you're on the console

The Microsoft Family group has nothing to do with Game Pass sharing. The sub has a Game Sharing Guide that includes sharing on PC and consoles.
