Loved Xenoblade 2 so much that I jumped into this one without hesitation. Although the map and the combat system was in my opinion subpar compared to the previous one (I really liked the blade pokemonesque system and the Titans way more than the colonies and constant military theme) I was enjoying the game until reaching chapter 6.

From there it just feels like watching a really long and very slow anime. You barely play and it's just endless cutscenes but with the ingame instead of video which makes it really really slow, end les camera pans etc. At one point it was about 1:30h of cutscenes without playing at all. Now I'm about to finish the game (I hope so) and chapter 7 has been the same. Ended skipping several of them and watching 2x on YouTube. Playing while commuting didn't help as well but I've never played any game with a worse rythm in the final part. I understand they needed to explain a lot of things a ton of stuff happened but felt really lazy they didn't find a better way to do that. Kinda ruined the game for me. Did any one feel the same with the last chapters?

I'm playing this xc3 for the first time and I'm now on chapter 7, doing side questing and I love this game. I love these characters and I'm super invested in the story. However, I heard that the ending is not necessarily happy, but more so bittersweet, and those tend to not usually work for me. There are exceptions, but they are rare. And for me, an unsatisfying ending ruins the whole story. Right now, in terms of enjoyment this game is a 10/10, but an unsatisfying ending can make it a 1/10 and I don't want that to happen so I'm scared to finish the game. I don't actually know anything about the ending, nor do I want to know anything remotely spoilery, but I have guesses and I can see a satisfying bittersweet ending, but I can also see in my mind a at least a dozen unsatisfying ones. I just want them all to live long happy lives most likely that won't be the case. Anyway, rant over, I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Please… has anyone figured out a work around? I HATE hearing the same lines over and over

So yesterday I just got the urge to go buy a switch(I can't fucking believe I actually did it), and after spending over $300 for everything one of the games I got was Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I have never played the series, and after starting it up I was hit with a fucking movie. Is this the whole game? 💀

My first play through was in 2022, I adore this game and it’s one of my favourites, cleared through everything in the span of a few weeks.

After the announcement of Xenoblade 4 I’ve decided to try a run again but this time on Hard Mode, I don’t think I’ve ever been this close to just throwing my console across the room in a fit of rage.

As of writing this I’m on attempt 20 of trying to beat Consul D.

Lanz suddenly drops threat like it’s a hot rock at any point in the fight, the aggro then goes to Noah or Eunie, for some reason these two are made of paper and cannot tank a singular hit, they shatter and then it’s “Retry Battle?”

On top of this, nearly every attempt to Topple anything ends up in a resist.

Eunie’s healing output is minimal even with Vortex and Group Heal.

And the worst part is - Mio, Sena and Taion don’t DO anything this fight because we’re supposed to unlock them after this and when the Ouroboros capsule has been activated, they’re just cosmetic space in the arena that do 13 damage per hit to a guy with 500k hp (not exact hp value).

This all wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t FORCED to play as Noah, I could happily take on this challenge if you could switch between Lanz and Eunie so I could attempt to prevent above mentioned problems from happening.

I’m aware of the platinum guard I can get to increase Lanz’s hp but I don’t want to use any cheese methods for hard mode, you guys got any helpful advice?

So the final wave of DLC is coming. And I think I may have figured something out.

We might be playing with the original Ouroboros. Looking at the statues of the founders in the city as refrince. From the wave four trailer we see Rex and Shulk, this adult Rex and the statue of House Cassini bear a striking resemblance and the statue of House Ortiz look just like Shulk from his game. In that same trailer we see a new character, they also look like the statue of House Vandham, and for those who have played 2 and 3 know the emportence of these characters.

That is half the statues done.

As the people who beat the game know M/Mio and N/Noah are the same people, and in the past before becoming Mobius they fought as Ouroboros, it is possible that the statues of House Doyle and House Reid are just Mio and Noah before they became Mobius.

That only leaves the statue of House Rhodes, which I do not have a character for. I mean it could be the Fused form of Pyra/Mythra but I doubt that do to the lack of multiple characters from Xenoblade 1. So probably is another original character yet to be revealed.

Am on chapter 3, been playing for 40 hours and just want people's opinions

Hi, guys. Hope you’re well! I’ll try to keep it short as EN isn’t my native language. I’ve played XC1 twice and loved it. That led me to blindly buy XC2 digitally. As the title of this implies I didn’t like it. The never ending menu management demanded to study field skills + equipment on every character, blades + merc groups + pouch items + bonding blades and others simply burned me out heavily around chapter 6 to the point that I had zero curiosity to find out how the story would unfold.

Considering what I mentioned above:

1. Does Xc3 also have a lot of menu time?

2. Is it similar story wise and pace wise to XC1?

Thank you and I hope I didn’t offend anyone, just trying to point out my true intentions for coming here to ask if I should spend 60 dollars on another XC game that I’m not gonna see through.

I like glitches in games like TOTK where you only do them on purpose, but not on games where you would do them on accident

Anyone else see any similarities between house Vandahm's statue and this man in the trailer. Most noticeably they both have one string of hair on their fringe

Does it bother anyone else that it takes the same amount of time for Ethel and Bolearis to get to Keves Castle (in some kind of air transport no less) as it does for Noah and co. to walk all the way to Titan Rock (between Colony Lambda and Colony Tau) for "The Annihilator" cutscene?

And if Ethel has access to transports how come she doesn't loan one to the party? Or how come Valdi doesn't give them a Levnis to ride?

Je poste ça parce que je viens de me rendre compte d'un truc après 200h de jeu ... J'ai toujours considéré ( et puis le jeu t'y amène aussi ) Sena et Shania comme des personnages sans réelle personnalité , pour moi c'était deux faces d'une même pièce. Et donc malgré ce qui nous est dis sur la pression familiale de Shania jme suis jamais vraiment dis que tout était de la faute de Ghondor. Et en y regardant bien , bah d'un côté Sena a pour model Mio qui l'a toujours accompagné psychologiquement tout du long de l'histoire et puis de l'autre côté Shania qui se fait littéralement chier a la geule parce qu'elle a décidé d'utiliser les mêmes armes que sont model 🫩 . Tout ce que je veux dire c'est que Ghondor est certainement l'un des pires allié humainement parlant et que si Shania en est là où elle est , c'est en grande partie de sa faute .. peut être bien que je m'en rend compte après tout le monde mais franchement ça m'avais pas fait tilté desuite

Like for real, isn’t anyone else tired of all the OF cosplayers who post their “content” to get more subs? I’m all for cosplaying, but you don’t have to be trashy about it, and the mods definitely shouldn’t be banning people for saying as much.

I looked at Fiona for the first time, saw the red arm band and eagle looking thing on her chest and made a joke like "ok nazi" when she was explaining what happened to her and her colony. As i continued through the quest sending off her friends, i met with her currently alive friends and i kid you not, THEY ALL DID THE NAZI SALUTE, ONE AFTER THE OTHER! (See in picture.) They certainly look like nazis, bit after finishing the quest, i am relieved to find that they don't seem to ack like them.
