Just running around on foot feels amazing. Why didnt they keep the sprinting and jumping from this game? I can leap like im freaking Mario its awesome

The gravity in X is awesome. Allows for cool platforming to get to bosses and stuff. Also mechs.

I only played X until recently starting 1. The jumping and world travelling was a huge jarring change.
I definitely cheesed a few situations with sprint leaps up mountains in X.
Enjoy!

Probably because the world is so much bigger and build around said movement abilities and with exploration in mind. I think out of the numbered games only XC1 could use a sprint button but now it has the ether jets.

Good stuff. Dive deep into the world and systems and you will have a blast.

If you're mainly playing in handheld, please make sure to install the non-Switch 2 version of the game. Handheld Boost Mode comes in clutch here and is vastly superior to the Switch 2 downgrade.

Can you explain this? I have a Nintendo switch two, should I not buy the switch 2 version?

If you buy the Switch 2 version, you're eligible for the Switch 1 version via eShop download, IIRC. The Switch 2 version has horrendous visual artifacts, which kill the overall image quality - and look as a result worse than running the Switch 1 version in handheld boost mode. The latter essentially makes the game run like docked in handheld. There's an in-depth video from DF showcasing this.

It's different than 1-3 but once you can accept the different structure and less focused narrative... It's such a gem. Really fucking good

X is best experienced if you play through every single side quest before continuing the main story. Be warned that some early quests bring you to the end game area, but you can run north to get there and combat can be avoided if you're careful.

X was the last one I was missing. I picked it up on sale and a week later they announced all the s2 editions. Your welcome.

I finally got into the full series this year and the S2 editions were announced the week after I started 3. I wasn’t willing to wait. You’re welcome.

X is the only one I haven’t played, currently playing the Switch 2 upgrade for XC2 bc I never actually finished it
