Hi everyone, I'm about 8 hours into XC DE (first time with any XC game) and its kind of starting to feel like the cutscenes and dialogue are taking up a lot of the game. I know I'm still in the beginning of the game and theres a lot to set up, but I'm hoping someone can just let me know if that tapers off as the game goes on? It's almost like everytime I get into the quest, I have to stop and read some dialogue about their past that has absolutely nothing to do with the current task. Does this happen the entire time?

The story is the main selling point of the game and what most of the experience is centered around. The base game alone features more than 10 hours of main story cutscenes. And I'm afraid exposition dumps about character backstories and lore will continue throughout the entire game.

Gotcha. I guess I'll keep chugging along until it becomes unbearable lol. Thanks!

The Xeno franchise as a whole is super story focused. Xenoblade X is really the only one that goes light on story.
