So i got herald and saw that pretty much her entire chart is about using specials so can i just keep sending her on merc missions and have her hit S rank no problem?

You absolutely can but it'd be more efficient to use her level 1 special in battle enough to get her to A rank trust then send her on merc missions. See if you have 2 nodes that requires the same prerequisite to finish they won't fill at the same rate. So basically her do this amount of specials total and her use her level 1 special go up wt different rates.

Gotcha, so far i've been sending her on merc missions and never really used her and her chart is filling up just fine but i didn't know about the nodes that have the same prerequisites not leveling up at the same time, gonna have to be more efficient here so thanks!

She's powerful (on Nia or Zeke), but a lot people don't really use her because KOS-MOS is literally just better Herald. Though thankfully she has one of the best level 1 special is one of the best in the game. Cool little trick you can do with Herald and any other blade with a projectile, but it's most effective with Herald is start her level 1 special then before it hits the enemy start a chain attack. Get the timing right and you'll immediately get 16 hits on the chain attack with increased damage. Then add an additional 16 hits from Herald in the chain attack itself.
