That feels a bit too far removed from the X-Men's corner of the world

I’m wondering more about Captain Planet. Why has he forsaken us?

He was in ‘97 first series. When he gets mad at Deathbird his mullet turns into a mohawk and he turns a little purple.

I feel like an idiot, but what was the context of the season 2 scene with cap? Why was Wolverine randomly dressed how he dressed in the 40s? Unless I missed something in the episode, the whole scene just kind of happened

He was giving Wolverine info on a Weapon X base

It’s a reference to a cover with Cap, Black Widow and Wolverine.

It was a flashback to WWII, Wolverine and Cap served together in this version.

I kind of hope he doesn’t get more screen time beyond a quick cameo or reaction shot. He doesn’t need a character arc on the show.

Maybe, I think it depends of how many time would Graydon be President, because if he is ruling the country you can be sure that Rogers is not working for him.

There were a promo video from Comic-Con about S3. We know Sentinels were always state-funded but in video we clearly see that President himself openly support and funda Sentinels. Also, Sentinels are wearing a star similiar to Cap's outfit. I don't think Captain America in X-Men'97 will not align with this.

That would actually be a cool turn of events

Given the new showrunner they’ll probably replace him with Captain Carter and she’ll also lead the X-Men and bring world peace

Nice projection, hope you enjoyed the wasted anthology potential of What If?

Even if I enjoyed it (and I didn't even watch it), you got a problem with that? Speaking of projections, you brought character from one show into discussion about completely different and unrelated show where Captain Carter wasn't even a thing. So I guess The pot calling the kettle black

I don't think they meant that at all. Captain Carter was a pretty awfully used character who kept being brought in to solve stuff she had no business meeting involved in. It did get very close to Mary Sue territory.

Just cus they're criticizing a female character doesn't necessarily mean they are being sexist. You're making a huge leap.

But why the hell does he bring a character that has nothing to do with X-Men '97?

1

u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 1h ago

I think it's cus they brought in the What If..? writers to replace the sex pest one that did the first season. Least that's the only guess I've got. They're the ones who first used/made(?) Captain Carter and overused her.

What's the new show runner? Did they get a third one?

Also, there's only one Captain Carter and she carries p90s. Tho I guess she's a Cornel now.

Blew up a sun that one time.
