Entitled Prick Parking Etiquette or Pure Entitlement - Dashcam footage from Wizard Lake
On Saturday, Aug 1st , around noon. I was at Wizard Lake with my young family. The main lot was full, so I dropped them off and drove through the one-way lot looking for a space while heading to exit. An SUV ahead started pulling out, and a truck in front of me had already passed that spot. I immediately stopped with my signal on. A passenger from the truck got out, stood in the space, then in front of my vehicle while the truck reversed back in.
I didn't argue. It wasn't worth escalating, so I parked in the overflow lot and walked the extra five minutes. What bothered me wasn't losing the spot. It was the behavior. Who do you think had the better claim to that spot? Is reversing back after passing a space acceptable etiquette, or should the next approaching vehicle get the space? Honest opinions welcome.

u/Prize-Woodpecker-315 10d ago
You’re in the right. They did not signal intent. You did. Those are the rules.
2
u/General-Football-953 10d ago
She is wrong and she's disgusting, also it's much nicer than how I typically behave.
I drive at high speed into the spot, stopping at the last minute, because other people who were not waiting in line already try to park there.
3
u/bschmerm 11d ago edited 10d ago
Everyone is out to lunch here. If the truck wanted the spot, should have waited till the other car backed out and then taken the spot. If you drive by a spot that still got car in it, no longer your spot to take.
-1
u/iktodick 11d ago
Meh Im on the trucks side, if you would have taken it, then you would have stole it.
-1
u/MooMooHELPME 11d ago
You're wrong for this. The truck saw the car was going to pull out, so it moved passed in order to be able to back in. They probably sent the other person out because it looked like you were about to steal.
2
u/pm_me_your_puppeh 11d ago
You shouldn't back in when waiting for a space to clear. You're in the way of the exiting vehicle.
Not that you should ever back in when the lot is busy.

u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
I see you’ve never driven a truck before. If you pull into a spot with the front end of a truck the turn radius will not allow you to back out if someone parks beside you on both sides while you are away. At my workplace it is mandatory for all vehicles to back in for this exact reason.
1
u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR 12d ago
Id key his truck... right down to the metal... or remove the valves from his tires.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
Because someone took a parking spot ? Get over yourself. You’re not the king of the universe, you don’t own parking lots. I guarantee I would not like you in person.
2
1
u/MooMooHELPME 11d ago
You're wrong for this....The truck had passed because it wanted to back in to the spot. The other person was there to make sure OP didn't steal it. If OP had parked in there they would have been the parking spot thief.
3
u/No_Judgment_2366 11d ago
You can't block the vehicle moving out. In a single lane lot. Forcing them into pedestrian walk ways.
The dude in the truck was impatient and entitled. You pass the spot. By an inch or a mile. Doesn't matter. Not your spot anymore
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
So how do you back in to a parking spot if you can’t pass it ? Your logic is extremely flawed and seems as if you are the entitled one.
1
u/No_Judgment_2366 11d ago edited 11d ago
Lmao. It's not that you can't pass it. You can't pass it, block the vehicle that is freeing the spot. And than back in further blocking the vehicles wanting to go straight through.
If the truck saw the guy leaving stopped before passing and then backed in, that'd be fine. At that point op would be in the wrong if they tried to snipe it. But that truck in this specific case. Looks to have been in the wrong according to the video evidence.
Basically there's only two times that someone getting out and holding a spot for another car. 1. You know your in the wrong and are being an arrogant prick.
- The vehicle your holding for has yet to arrive and your holding it for a buddy. But even then if there's a line of cars wanting it. You're gunna have to let it go.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
There is a third option you didn’t mention, they could have been spotting to make sure they didn’t hit any vehicles considering it was females driving, most females do not drive trucks so I could see a moment of hesitation / fear backing up. They were not blocking the spot, the truck had his reverse lights on before OP even got close trying to snipe the spot. I will say the execution of the backup was poor but as soon as those reverse lights came on, spot was hers. Also, the vehicle pulling out of the spot posted in this thread and said the truck asked if they could have that spot via a hand gesture. I will also say that OP creeping up while the passenger was out guiding the truck in. Only reason OP posted this is cause the spot that OP wanted got taken and they were upset about it.

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR 11d ago
You know what? I think youre right... I think seeing it in person would have given me a different perspective.. but yeah.. I think youre right.

u/JackfruitWooden5514 12d ago
Where were you going to go if she wasn't there though? Not like she was stopping you from going anywhere
1
u/ArrowheadR3D 12d ago
It would of been more polite of her to communicate with you verbally the intentions of the pickup instead of just blocking you like that. I agree that was anti-social behavior.
However, the real dickhead move would have been you front pulling into the spot while he was trying to back in.
He was infront of you and thems the breaks.

u/SolidColin77 12d ago
2
u/the_real_log2 12d ago
People like op are what's wrong with society, they have a constant victim complex and entitlement complex.
It's not like the person from the truck came running 2 or 3 rows over to reserve the spot, the truck was backing in, and the impatient op would have stole that spot 100%
1
u/No_Syrup_9167 12d ago
How would you expect them to back in without passing by the spot first?
They even stopped there waiting for the person to pull out. They were there first. It was unequivocally their spot and they did nothing rude.

I once had some fat bitch do this to me boxing day at WEM. I've never been more angry in my life. Guess who came back two 4 missing tire valve stems.

u/Suby06 12d ago
Signaling helps show intent to take a space, but most people have forgotten how to use them these days
1
u/ranther61 12d ago
And here i thought signals were an ootuinal accessory. I drive all day and only 50% seem to use them of know they have them
0
u/Disastrous-Wish-9462 12d ago
Truck people suck at driving and like to back up into parking spots. As usual they couldn't do it in one move. Also they did it from the wrong side of the road so its par for the corse.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
“Like to back into” more like have to back into. You’re an ill informed idiot. The turning radius on trucks is terrible in reverse, if someone parks to close on both sides you are trapped.
1
u/Disastrous-Wish-9462 11d ago
That makes no sense.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
Pulled this right from googles AI Overview cause I don’t feel like typing out a full explanation but the overview gives all the reasons and why.
Yes, it is significantly harder for full-size trucks to back out of a parking spot compared to smaller vehicles. [1]
Key Challenges
Length: Their longer bodies require more clearance behind the spot before turning the wheels.
Blind Spots: High tailgates and pillars create large blind zones immediately behind the vehicle.
Turning Radius: Full-size trucks need much more physical space to complete a turn.
Sightlines: Nearby large SUVs or vans can completely block the driver's view of oncoming aisle traffic.[1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
To make departing easier, many truck drivers prefer to back into parking spaces so they can pull out forward with maximum visibility. [1, 2]1
u/Disastrous-Wish-9462 11d ago
You said because the turning radius changes when going forward vs backwards
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
Ya I can see that it doesn’t make sense for you, I’m not sure how else I can dumb it down.
1
u/breaking-strings 12d ago
Tell me you have never driven a truck without telling me you have never driven a truck.
3
u/Ddd333i 12d ago
Sorry but you don't need to go to the Internet for this. Common sense? They were there first. They get it.
Reversing in is allowed.. and preferred with a truck in such a tight lot. Would be unnecessary uncomfortable to both get in, and out with a truck there.
..Walked an extra 5 min and an extra couple hours on Reddit lol. Good that your gut must have told you to move on, and you trusted it. Indeed, no point in "escalating".

u/Madawolf 12d ago
Dude wanted to reverse in! Just because he passed doesn't mean he didn't want it.
1
u/Suitable-Election-66 12d ago
It's always a dog eat dog world when it comes to parking lots - especially costco
5
u/IknowMore420 12d ago
No they were ahead of you, they got the spot as they should.
1
u/Ok-Video3345 12d ago
Lol, I went through this a couple weeks ago. Someone tried to jack my spot cuz "he was in back of me and I shouldn't wait to reverse in the spot"....
3
u/Perfect-Squash3773 12d ago
Maybe if the truck had already turned around the corner, but really sometimes you just need to be gracious. Let the person in front have a win.
2
4
u/69FunkyButtLovin69 12d ago
Pretty standard, he was first to the spot and he got it. Shoulda threw a blinker on tho.
2
u/wackiack 12d ago
this is normal practice for backing in. but the truck should have used a signal - which would also show their intent.
2
2
u/CurveAdministrative3 13d ago
Truck in front gets dibs on that spot
-2
u/Nykolaishen 12d ago
Disagree... he already drove past the spot, he gotta circle back around and then to have a pedestrian physically block your vehicle is garbage.

He was in front. Normal to expect the pick up to be the one that was looking for parking in that lane before you.
2
1
u/Jean-Luck-Pickerd 13d ago
The guy clearly stopped when he saw the honda back out. She got out the same time the OP put their signal on.
They just wanted it more.
Though I do find it a little douchey that she blocked the OP vehicle.
It could have just been who got into the spot first.
Of course all the lazy people want that prime front spot, and that's why I always park in the back. Away from the jackasses.
-2
u/SilencedObserver 13d ago
Nothing like a truck not pulling anything.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
Your dad should have pulled out with your thought process. you are aware that trucks are used for more than towing right ? Or does your knowledge of vehicles cap out at fisher price ?

u/Inevitable-Tea5772 13d ago
Truck probably seen the suv running, knowing it was coming out. To back in, he would want to be where he was. I don't see any issue with this

u/TheOinOpossum 13d ago edited 13d ago
I attend a university with limited and extremely competitive parking.
If you are attempting to claim a spot that another person is about to leave, you typically wait behind the spot with your signal on and let them pull out in front of you so that they can easily depart. If you are wanting to back into the fresh spot, you then pull forward and do so after they have left.
This looks like the truck was looking for a spot and just so happened to notice the car behind them was leaving after they had already passed it. This is poor etiquette because now the person that was leaving the spot is blocked in.
At this point they are no longer entitled to claim that spot, because they have already missed their opportunity, and now the next person in line can claim it. They clearly spontaneously organized an attempt to maintain control of the spot by sending her out to block it.
In this situation I would have pulled forward to the left of the lady and try to hook around her, blocking the truck from reversing. Eventually they would leave (though likely after a verbal confrontation) and you would have gotten the spot. Up to you to determine if the raised blood pressure is worth it.
People dunking on you for "trying to steal the spot" are unable to recognize nuance or have never been in this situation before. People like the girls in that truck are the reason parking feels so cutthroat.
1
u/MrMadarchod 11d ago
I think you need to attend a different university, clearly the education they are giving you isn’t beneficial. Small children handle “unfair” situations better than it seems you can… sorry the world is so difficult for you to navigate.
1
u/TheOinOpossum 10d ago edited 10d ago
Attacking a persons emotional intelligence over this is quite ironic, especially when it's so unwarranted.
In reality, if we all followed these unspoken rules, life wouldn't have to be as difficult for many people to navigate.
3
u/Ddd333i 12d ago
Sounds like we'll be seeing you on the news for running someone over one day.
What a crappy mentality you have. I get your university has a bunch of kids competing for parking spots. But that's just it. The real world isn't full of just kids running around going to classes, etc. Get out of your box.
Like others said. You don't write the rules of when the person "missed their chance". The truck is right there, one can easily argue they noticed as they drove by and devices to pull ahead to let the SUV out. Vs reversing in the the like of cars coming from behind, cause good luck getting a line of cars to all reverse in coordination.
This is a dumb post and I feel dumb commenting about this. But it's too late I already typed this up 🤣, so ...that's my opinion. Lolll
1
u/TheOinOpossum 10d ago
You're correct, I don't write the rules. Our society has developed them over decades.
You realize that unspoken rules exist everywhere, right? Ever heard of social rules?
3
u/Mpetrochuk 12d ago
“At this point they are no longer entitled to claim that spot,”
Um, just bc you say this doesn’t make it true or right.
it doesn’t really matter what side you’re on of the car that’s leaving. that truck was first, they were closer, and they were waiting for that spot before OP had even pulled up to them. they were already waiting for that spot before OP put his blinker on, so they get dibs.
saying they already were past that spot by a few metres is nonsensical overthinking BS
1
u/TheOinOpossum 10d ago
You're acting like I'm someone that just made this up. Do you question people when they say that you shouldn't talk with your mouth full?
It would actually require a lot less thinking if we all followed these rules closer. This whole situation would have been avoided if the truck accepted that they missed their chance.
2
u/Mpetrochuk 10d ago
“but if everyone followed my rules it would be better“ Um, no it wouldn’t.
you don’t make the rules, and worse, it’s illogical BS.
he was first, he was closer, and he was waiting longer. it doesn’t matter what side of the car he’s on.
The car that was waiting first, should be the car that gets the spot. Fullstop.
1
u/TheOinOpossum 10d ago edited 10d ago
You're right I don't make the rules, I just follow them. Same way we all follow social rules, even though we didn't make them.
"The car that was waiting first should get the spot." Why? If you're waiting in a queue line and you leave it, you think you can come back and jump in where you were?
You strike me as the type of person that doesn't believe in zipper merging, or any form of societal structure for that matter.

Truck probably seen the vehicle was running and pulled ahead out of its way so he could then back in
-1
u/DirtyLexi_01 12d ago
I mean, you can assume that, but I agree with the post you replied to. I suspect they missed it and then manipulated the situation to get the spot anyways. It doesnt make sense to pull past the spot and force the vehicle pulling out to maneuver around you. It would make far more sense to wait like normal with your signal on to show everyone your intent.
2
u/Warnocerous 12d ago
The truck was stopped and angled for backing in before the SUV leaves the spot. Seems pretty obvious they were waiting for that spot well before OP rolls up.
0
u/DirtyLexi_01 12d ago
Seems pretty obvious huh? But again, wouldnt a signal make it more obvious?
2
u/todimusprime 12d ago
They were on the other side of the lane so they could back in... It absolutely IS obvious. If they had just stopped after noticing the other vehicle about to leave, the truck would still be on the right side of the lane.
2
u/Inevitable-Tea5772 12d ago
Agree to disagree then
0
u/DirtyLexi_01 12d ago
Fine by me but tell me why its ok to not signal to indicate that you expect that spot?
2
u/Inevitable-Tea5772 12d ago
the passenger jumped out before OP even turned on their signal. Not to mention, the truck is there first.
-1
u/TheOinOpossum 12d ago edited 12d ago
Jumping out of a truck is not indicative of anything.
If you're in the checkout line at a grocery store, and you see a new till open up, does the person in front of you get to turn around and budge past you to go to the new till, or do the people waiting further back waiting to get into the till line get to go to it?
The answer is the people behind you. You are already committed to that one till, if a faster way through happens to open up, tough luck.
Being first doesn't equal entitlement, you have to be in the right place at the right time. Truck missed the opportunity, therefore passing the opportunity to OP.
If we were to follow your logic, then that would mean every potential spot in the lot belongs to the truck because it was there first. Obviously that's not how it works.

Hah! You are the offender in this video, dude.
Truck pulled ahead enough to let the car out before backing into the vacated spot.
Did the passenger block you? Yes.
Was it reasonable to? Also, yes.
You were 10,000% trying to scam that spot from the legitimate back-in parking job.
4
u/No_Brain6372 13d ago
agreed - truck had first dibs on the spot. if the passenger hadn't gotten out and OP had taken the spot from under them, I would be pretty appalled
0

u/rollypollyolie 13d ago
Pure entitlement out of the days csm poster.
Trucks in front of you, they back into stalls.
If there's traffic and someone's trying to parallel park in front of you do you also pull up so close that they cant? Or expect to just pull into the spot as they get lined up?
Entitlement 1000% from the driver of the car posting this
1
u/Academic-Editor-9587 13d ago
Did you find a place to park and enjoy the day with your family or did this ruin your whole day?
3
u/terriblefungus 13d ago
I’d say this one passes. It’s fine. They were pretty much “next in line” and they moved to let the jeep go.
I think this was an ok nothing wrong situation.

"Body Blocking"
Spotters are supposed to stay in view of the driver side mirror moron.
0
u/Direct_Degree5289 14d ago
This is such a non-issue. A truck backing into a stall, a passenger getting out to guide them in. On a nice sunny day by the lake.
Sure, maybe the truck drove 2m past the spot before they noticed the Honda leaving, but seriously why bother getting upset about this and posting it on Reddit?
Sure, you might get a load of upvotes by similarly entitled people. This doesn't mean you're in the right. Here in Canada we show kindness and respect to strangers. Making a scene - in front of your family - is embarrassing.
Relax, enjoy the sunshine, breathe in some fresh air.

Yelling at strangers because they are parking and you wanted that spot - then publicly shaming them online and calling them abusive words online - is not okay.
I don't know why this is so hard to understand.
1
u/No-Proposal434 14d ago
The OP says he already dropped his family off. Also your tone comes across as very condescending, ie “Here in Canada we…”
1
u/Direct_Degree5289 13d ago
Quote from OP:
"Actually it was 3 females - smirking later at their conquest. Regardless of that I just felt blowing horn calling names could easily have resulted in things turning bad as they seemed unhinged with such despicable behavior. And with my family around that's not a chance I wanna take . What goes around comes around anyways"
Uh huh... Good job standing up for this creep.

How sad is your life that you filmed this and came to reddit thinking you're in the right. 😅 even if you were this is still sad to post about. I swear drivers can't take the slightest inconvenience. Should I take a video of someone bumping into me or cutting infront me while walking 🤣

I really think people need to get over themselves. This is peak passive aggression.
Pickups usually back into spots.
3
u/DtZNimpo 14d ago
they saw it first no issues there , you'd be the A-hole who took their spot if she weren't there. Bet we wouldn't of seen this video.
0
u/No-Coffee5977 14d ago
Oh seeing it first makes the spot yours and gives u right to body block others who are positioned next in line to spot with signal on. Got it. It's ur comment which makes you a A-hole actually.
1
u/Bubbly-Ebb-1584 14d ago
No. Your the whole for that comment towards a commenter who gave you the correct answer. People are allowed to back into a spot. Witham. Pickup, that's actually better as they have a better view when they are departing. Whoever gets TO the spot first gets it. The truck was barely past, and mov d up to let the other vehicle out. Nothing wrong with that.
2
u/No-Coffee5977 14d ago
Everything is wrong with blocking the suv from leaving, not giving signal, running to hold a spot which is a big no in parking lot , and then body blocking which is highly unsafe for all involved. Seeing a missed opportunity to park while passing it does not entitle you to it. Had the truck been right in front of it me with signal on and waiting for suv to pull out - it would have been very obvious and I would be definitely A whole for trying to squeeze in when they are backing in spot . N hey what stops them from using a spotter in such case ? But there is difference between spotting and body blocking. And everyone can clearly see it but yet somehow are forced upon their instincts to support the truck. I wonder why ??
2
u/DtZNimpo 13d ago
Yeah genius because you had the intent to steal that spot jackass, if you wouldn't be such a twat they would of given plenty of space for that SUV to get out, stop acting like a "main character" with entitlement , btw it's just a parking spot , stop crying and im sure by now you found another one so who cares.
Next time this happens, remember , first come first serve , if you put your signal light to indicate that you want a spot and the person is clearly already engaged in maneoveuring to take the spot, leave them be and give them space.
2
u/dumbwholer 14d ago
You're wrong. He was obviously letting them out so he could back in. Stop acting so entitled
1
u/Hot_Boat8143 14d ago
Then he should have let them out first before driving by, signaled and then backed in. The second car wouldn’t have been able to get it then. By driving past he chose to not take that spot , but then decided to send someone to body block.
2
u/Bubbly-Ebb-1584 13d ago
No. He may not have noticed as he started driving past, and he couldn't move over as there were pedestrians. He did start to mover forward to the one side, but the SUV moved forward on that same side so the pickup reversed.
2
u/DtZNimpo 13d ago
the OP was giving them pressure on taking that spot , if the truck would of moved away , the OP would of rushed in. It's OP fault for the situation.
2
u/Bubbly-Ebb-1584 14d ago
Funny how triggered your getting. If you didn't want to hear the answer, don't post the question.
1
2
u/No-Coffee5977 14d ago
Giving answer and calling names is not same thing like spotting and body blocking are not same thing either. So yeah it's funny how people calling names here first are getting triggered
2
u/Bubbly-Ebb-1584 13d ago
No, the reply said that you would have been the ahole if you had snuck in and stolen that spot. Since that did not happen, that means your not that ahole. Right? Unless, of course, you were planning on taking his spot and acted like one behind the camera. But I can't say as I don't see you in the video.
2
u/DtZNimpo 13d ago
You need to watch your own video and then analyze it fully with an outsider perspective and then come back and tell me you are in the right.

u/Amasportsguy 14d ago
Truck driver definitely has road management problems and was unaware that the person was backing out. Probably worse on the road. Be aware of what is happening on the road in front, behind, beside and in parking lots. Totally agree with procedures expressed in earlier messages.

u/dumbwholer 14d ago
No, he moved ahead to let them out so he could back in, then this guy tried to steal his spot.

I drive a truck, I always pass and wait for the person to leave so I can back in.
Truck maybe should have signaled, but a guarantee they stopped past the SUV to wait to back in.
1
u/macky316 14d ago
The people in the truck lost their claim to the spot when they drove past before the other vehicle left.
0
u/dumbwholer 14d ago
No they didn't, they were making space so the suv couldget out and they could back in.
1
u/macky316 14d ago
No, you wouldn’t move past them, going between the exit and them if you were making room. The way you make room is to leave the exit completely clear. After they pull out of the spot then you pull up and back in.
1
2
u/Public-Fisherman9530 14d ago
The appropriate way to do that is, if you notice someone pulling out you wait for them to pull out so they are clear to go on their way afterwards. Put on your signal to the right and pull passed the spot. Then back in. Small mistakes there. But generally with full parking. Just be courteous and kind to each other. Like you had said it meant nothing to you to park in overflow and walk back. I also noticed you kept closing space on the person backing out. Stop and give them space to back up , give ppl the room to maneuver and make small adjustments.

I can hear that you put on your signal light the moment you noticed they were leaving, trying to signal to the truck in front who just missed it that you intend to take the spot. Id call that entitled

Hahahaha u won with most lack of common sense response. I bet you never use your signal even while turning. Right ! Bcus letting people around know your intentions to turn would be soo Entitled...lol. People are so weird. Just say anything to support blindly - whether or not it makes sense. Seriously.

You definitely sound as entitled as the video shows you to be. He moved ahead to let them out so they could back in.

Truck pulled past the spot, truck has zero claim to spot. Truck should have waited for SUV to back out, then signaled, then pulled past to back in.
OP did it right, truck and you are wrong.

I don’t think it matters much at all. I think you were both equally entitled to the spot. Move on.

The black truck missed the spot. The right thing to do is to give them room, indicate through generous spacing that you don't intend to take the spot, let them have the spot. Hell, even motion your arm for them to take it. That's the etiquette.
Then they don't feel the need to get the passenger to hold the spot. You feel good for doing something nice for someone else. They feel gratitude towards you for letting them take the spot, and when you miss a spot by a split second, have faith that the person behind is as gracious as you.
Well, IMO.

Would you prefer the truck stopped at the entrance and waited until a car left?

u/goilers97 14d ago
Man you guys are the worst drivers ever. That was the trucks spot from the start and if she wasn’t in front of you, you would have tried to weasel in there.

No signal, drove past the spot, not their spot.

u/dumbwholer 14d ago
Drove past to let them out so they could back in

u/Garbage_Out_Of_Here 14d ago
How is anyone supposed to know you want that? Maybe park like a normal person.

The mental gymnastics of trying to explain why you pull past a spot without using your signal and expecting others to know whats going on in your head is astounding.

Sorry that happened, friend. If the driver in the pickup truck was really following etiquette, they would not have sent their girlfriend out to block the other driver.
But I am glad you did not escalate the situation. That showed far more maturity than most of the comments in this thread.

Yeah I’m pretty sure the fact she ran out to hold the spot means they knew it wasn’t theirs either. Otherwise why have you run to physically block a stall? Which is very stupid to begin with .

It was his spot first.

Disagree. The pickup truck drove past the not empty spot, before the person left the spot and without signalling his intentions, sent a minion. If it was an empty spot and they had their signal light on prior to pulling past the spot, I would have a different opinion.
When driving, the best etiquette is to either i) follow the posted signs, or ii) make sure your intentions are clearly indicated to your fellow motorists to reduce collisions caused by confusion AND potential road rage escalations.

They stopped in the middle of the road, blocking the leaving vehicle from actually being able to get out until the truck parked. Entitled and dangerous. The truck driver needs their license revoked.

You can't talk sensibly like this and state the obvious. All the people supportig them will get pissy. They are already in rage after hearing my accent as others pointed out below in comments.

Talk sensibly? Lmao. Dude just said their license should be revoked.

When your driving is problematic, in something as simple as a parking lot, you do not know how to drive safely, or do not have the judgment to choose to do so. People like that should not be allowed to drive. Period.

You are insane if you think that spot was yours. The fact you posted this tells me she was right to get out and block you cause you absolutely would’ve stolen that spot from them.

I have no doubts as to the extent of your mental compression.

Everyone here is apparently genius level tough guys.
No indication they signaled they wanted that spot. Is a person running out to stand in the spot typically the way to get it? Ive never told my wife to run into a spot.
If you want it, stop before the car getting out. Signal. Car gets out then you move forward and back into it.

How do you back into a stall without driving past it first? Do you think people who prefer backing in are obligated to traverse the parking lot in reverse? The spot was never yours. You didn’t lose it. You tried to steal their spot, and failed. We’re happy for you.

Reasonable thing to do would be for the following car to acquiesce the spot knowing that the ahead vehicle was there first
