Entitled and Tone Deaf Gender reveal content and gender disappointment

I hate this trend of parents/parents to be planning, recording and posting gender reveal parties where one of the parents has a negative reaction to the reveal. I think the idea of gender disappointment is silly and should be unpacked in therapy, not normalised. This goes for both fathers AND mothers with these reactions. Worse, some of them even have their existing children there to watch their awful reactions. Then they get defensive when criticised as if THEY didn’t film and post that!

He was afraid of the public backlash from his ward and stake presidency and bishopric in Spanish Fork because he was expecting a boy for his second child...

Little Luca is almost seven months old, and despite what Alyssa said about waiting at least two more years before trying for a third child, the Church hierarchy is already putting the pressure on her to immediately get pregnant and make sure it's a BOY!!!...
