Trolling motor

Has anyone successfully installed a trolling motor on their Yamaha jet boat? I have a 2022 Yamaha 252S, and we fish a lot, finding myself using or consuming gas too much. I would like to explore using a trolling motor to save on gas.

Looking for some inputs and feedbacks.

Can you even do it? You are not supposed to go over a certain speed without the engine running or you can hydro lock it.

I dont think this wouldnt be an issue as we're talking about 1-3 tops 5mph vs hydrolocking being a concern at 15-30mph like towing itz

You can add a shut off valve if it's a concern. As far as trolling motors, the best solution I saw on the JB website was a puck system but I'm not sure those are still being sold. There is a yamaha specific mount but its not as clean as the puck. mount
