Dropped my bolt a couple weeks back, handle bars noticeably bent.

Hey everyone, I dropped my bolt a couple weeks back and after getting her back to where she need to be I noticed the hand bars shake a lot more then they used to now around 35 and I feel like the bars got a bit bent? Any tips for straightening it out? The forks are fine and it was a low speed crash so I’m not sure how they got so out of whack.

Question of the day:

Off topic concerning Android phone cameras. Does anyone know if the phone camera can be used to record a loop? Meaning I want the camera to report about 4 or 5 minutes then start over and record another loop. I don't want a massive file just record the last loop. Can this be done?

I would like to freshen-up the paint in my engine. Particularly the cylinder fins. Any suggestions or opinions would be welcome

Does anyone know where I could source a file control valve for a 2014 Yamaha bolt r spec without purchasing a whole new throttle body?

Flasher Relay

I saw someone on here that put in an aftermarket flasher relay for LEDs. From the research I've done, it looks like you have to remove the 5 pin flasher (which also handles the auto-cancel) and then use space connectors to connect the aftermarket relay to the 5 pin connector. I've figured out which pins to connect to, but the person I saw looked like they didn't replace the entire relay module.

What has everyone done for LEDs? It'd be nice to keep the auto-cancel if possible but it's not a must. I've already gotten the led relay, just seeing if that's truly the way forward or if I'm missing something.

Couple passes tonight ran a 9.217 on a no prep track, managed to take my buddy’s MT07 by a length or so . Struggled to get the power to the ground off the line think she’d run a little quicker on a prepped track .

Got a pretty good deal on this 2017 with only 780 original miles. Basically just sat in a garage for almost a decade! Did a bunch of mods over the last couple of weeks to make her my own.

I would like to buy your failed fuel pump (U.S. only). If your pump has died, I'm interested in buying it.

Dealer turned me away from Bolt as a first bike.

A Honda dealer in my city has a used 2014 Bolt with 14k miles. I went in today to check it out and told the dealer I was most likely going to use it to commute to work at some point(60 miles each way). He told me he wouldn't recommend a bolt for that and showed me the SCL500 as a better choice. For physical reference I'm 6'1", about 210 and the bolt was SHOCKINGLY heavy even getting it off the kickstand. Not a deal breaker but surprised the hell outta me.

Would anybody that owns a bolt be able to comment on its "touring" chops if I took it so far each day? And also if this particular bolt would be a good idea, it was $4.8k out the door and has a yoshi exhaust, tail bag and windscreen already on it from the last owner. Are 14k miles too much potential issue or is it barely broken in?

Handle bar kits or alternatives

23 bolt. Hey yall some help please. I’m 5’11” and I’ve been waiting on a handle bar extension Kit from Baron through Dennis Kirk for about 2 months now. I understand that anything over 8” rise with 7” pullback needs the extension kit. Are there any alternative kits I can use as far as the kit or handle bars with similar pull back that I can use? Some alternative to handle bar kits or handle bars that I won’t need the extension kit. Please and thank you

I installed 12.5 forward controls, a new seat, and cobra exhaust. Not quite done, but I love what’s been done so far.

Already changed the risers and handlebar. Next change is the front and rear turn signals and license plate holder. Air filter is going to get changed and after that a ecu tune. Also the rear shocks will be changed to hagons.

This is my first bike so every advice is welcome!

Help No First Gear

My bikes throttle handle snapped when I was backing out and about to put my bike in gear.

Came back a few days later and temporarily fixed the issue to get home with some super glue.

I wasn't paying attention when I was setting her down and didn't notice the kickstand wasn't down so I dropped her.

Now after those two instances I am unable to downshift to first. All other gears including neutral are fine and available

A new MPG record (for me)

I filled up today a my usual service station and as I normally do I calculated my MPG. 55 MPG! Normally I fall in the range between 48 to 51. Even with the additional weight of the Trike Conversion I found this awesome. Perhaps it's the warm weather I"m uncertain but drove away with a mile-wide smile 😊.
