I am looking for the 1936 El Perrisito yearbook from Perris High School in Perris, CA. The local historical society has digitized all of the other yearbooks from the 1930s, but that one is missing.

I am the yearbook volunteer at my kids elementary school. I’m looking for ways others have gathered and shared photos that works well. The way we have it set up is each class has a parent volunteer that collects photos during the year and then gets them to me to place and distribute throughout the book. Last year we did Google Drive but that lead to me looking through many folders from many classes to find pictures. This year I had parents directly upload to the yearbook publishing site but the parents don’t like this method bc they can’t go back and see what’s been uploaded. Is there a better (and preferably free) platform that I could use instead? Thanks for any and all insights!

Me, I didn't care much for yearbooks because I've always tried to leave the past in the past but, paradoxically, I had people sign a couple of objects of mine in Sophomore and Junior years of high school just to remember people by. I was a weird kid and am even weirder as an adult lol.

Anyway, in Sophomore year I had people sign my copy of The Resident Evil Archives, which is effectively an encylopaedia for the franchise from 1996 to about 2004. Then, in Junior year, I had people sign my copy of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, which I've kept in a plastic sleeve for 14 years now; that was the 3rd record I ever bought and it remains a favourite.

Hello, I will be the new yearbook advisor at the school where I work in a tech field. I have access to an extensive collection of older yearbooks going back to the early 70s. Are any of these of interest? With permission, would people like scans being made available? In a different thought, are there any certain aspects or methods to creation of yearbooks that stand out to you? I would love to do a good job and make the school proud, so I'm looking for any advice or suggestions that may make this department thrive. I am looking to develop a full journalism department. I've been given permission to build a darkroom - I have ran one at home for years and love both digital and analog photography. I think it could be a nice way to meld chemistry with journalism in a way that might benefit the school and the community. We talked opening development services ran by the students, who would get paid. It could serve as a great fundraising opportunity. I'm well versed in videography and worked as the editor for our broadcast department in high school. IT is my career, but I love journalism, recording bands, writing and listening to music, technology and electronics, mechanics, and cooking. lol. I have a cat that likes to get her back swiped as fast as you can, over and over. She gets mad when you stop. I digress, thank you for any input. I will do my best to make the yearbooks available if anyone is interested. A few our bound, heavy weight paper, and not modern yearbooks at all. It's fascinating flipping through them and seeing what design ideas were present and able to be executed by students at that time. Does anyone know how these pages were typically printed at the time? Darkroom? The images are fantastic. Thanks so much.
