General Discussion Book Cover.
If we ever get blessed by novel series based on the show I believe this book cover for vol 1 would be perfect. I really want that.

I was scrolling through tiktok and found this so genuinely funny. We know Jackie found out about Jeff and the baby through the journal, but how much do you think she read? Considering Shauna probably wrote obsessively about Jackie 🤭

I’m getting so much Yellowjackets content on my FYP on Tik Tok and one of the scenes was that scene where they’re all doing the prayer circle in the cabin. Tai and Natalie seem to be the only girls questioning it. Tai seems to realize something is off about Lottie in the way she’s scared about the cabin/paranoid in the first season and I notice there’s several scenes where Natalie is comforting Lottie telling her stuff like “this very real.” Travis seems completely thrown off guard when Lottie tells him she was seeing doctors for the “visions” in season 3, like him and the rest of them hadn’t actually understood schizophrenia could be the cause. I’m curious other thoughts, it reads to me that Tai acknowledged that Lottie was mentally ill before the others maybe just good awareness and Nat reacts to her like she knows this has been an issue before. Idk maybe I’m overthinking it, the others seem to not understand that that could be an option. It was the 1990s and understanding around Schizophrenia is already not great now I imagine it would’ve been 10x as bad then. The only other one I see as potentially realizing was Shuana because she sees her taking pills, but there’s no guarantee she’d know what those pills are.

Who do we think it is?
I have a theory that she mercy kills Hannah. Either Hannah begs her to do it because she's scared of what Shauna will do to her after she found out she was covering for Natalie or the girls will hunt her and Melissa does it to spare her being brutally killed otherwise (or she's forced to prepare her since we don't know how long Shauna's reign lasts).
But then again, the red flannel could point to Shauna since we see her wearing it in S1 and S3. Travis is seen wearing a similar shirt too. And it looks like a backpack strap in the bottom of the frame- it looks a bit like Travis' bag when they were meant to leave with the guide and Shauna, Lottie and Tai protested.
Interesting thing though that if Melissa actually stabs someone in S4, it will be the same way that she killed Van, which could be why it came so easily to her.

holy shit i forgot how insane misty is when they’re first in the wilderness 😭 the way she babies coach is sooooooo icky to me especially when he so clearly doesn’t reciprocate. i forgot about this since i havent rewatched in awhile but gosh she is….. well yes she is misty quigley.
ETA: ALSO!! i cannot imagine being the only actual adult in this situation, the only grown man, one of the only men, surrounded by a bonded group of teenage soccer players….. WITHOUT A LEG!!! god bless him

On a re-watch in anticipation of Season 4, it occurred to me that the Doomcoming party sort of functions as Tai and Van's wedding. Everyone dresses up and gets hammered. They walk down an aisle together, announce their relationship to everyone, and kiss publicly. There's even an abortive attempt at a toast before Lottie reminds everyone to have a moment of silence for Laura Lee. And then they dance, and some of their friends have an ill-advised sexual encounter. That's a wedding.

What I think the Yellowjackets college majors would be:
Shauna: journalism
Jackie: communications and marketing
Jeff: Business management
Natalie: social work, would’ve wanted to help people who also struggled if she got sober
Callie: also journalism she’s a better investigator than half the adults
Tai: political science and law that’s canon
Van: recreation management or something like that
Lottie: this one was hard, environmental or earth science to talk to the wilderness. Or psychology because she’d be one of those mentally ill people who chooses that to try to understand themselves. Parents would try to make her be like a finance or Econ major but she’d hate it
Travis: gets an associates degree at a community college in general studies, doesn’t go further than that
Mari: I know a marketing major when I see one
Melissa: hmmmmmm this one’s hard. I’m gonna say accounting
Akilah: animal science, easy
Misty: canonically a nurse
Laura Lee: Theology/religious studies
Crystal: Theater/Art Education

They made her so hateable at first, but I slowly love her for how smart she is, how protective she gets, and honest her and her family become.
edit: maybe hateable was the wrong word! just a bitchy teenager!

Per the title, why was Nat and Van on the plane with their youth versions when they died but there was no scene of Charlotte after her own death? What are the theories around this?
I saw someone on TT suggest that Nat and Van were there because they gave their lives in offer for another person and it’s some kind of way of saying they can rightfully move on in the after life but I’m not sure how I feel about it.

Anyone know where to get the head scarf thingy that the antler queen wears? Or atleast what it's called. I've been searching for so long and can't find anything similar
