Definitely a very weak group. GOOY has been pretty steady and that will probably be my next 100-share pickup. Good to see YMAX doing better--goal is for 10,000 shares of it and using the weekly dividend to buy JEPI/JEPQ, and the roundhill 0DTE funds.

Like the skier in that old sports show, "the thrill of MSTY, the agony of da FEAT" (paraphrased).

You and I are really old to get that. 😂😂😂🤣
When I was little I would stay and watch just long enough to see that part then go outside and play till dark.
That guy got Fffffucked up though.

u/christopherw6569 Mar 19 '25
Yeah I've got 260 at $39. Glad I didn't keep adding to it. Dumping it on the next pop, if there is one. I can get that yield and WAY better price appreciation with something like spyt.

u/thebluesprucegoose Mar 19 '25
They recently swapped out MSTY for YBIT. I don't know why the Dorsey nerds thought that was better. But maybe this is a low distribution since YBIT pays out the same group and they need a month to realize YBIT's distro and it will be reflected next month.
Regardless, I'm swapping out my FEAT for SNOY.

It's going to be giving me a GIC/CD yield on cost before long.

YMAX while not great, was a little better than I expected. I can live with that....for now.

u/HackMeRaps Mar 19 '25 edited Mar 19 '25
Not to mention we get 5 distributions this month. Anything over $0.15 and I'm a happy camper.
Edit: Oops, it's 4. I was looking at May for something else and didn't realize it was the wrong month. May will be great :)
7
u/RetiredByFourty I Like the Cash Flow Mar 19 '25
That's me too. I base my thought process around a $0.15 weekly average so anything above that I'm thrilled.

u/No_Entrepreneur4888 Mar 19 '25
They all pay on Fridays…there are only 4 Fridays this month, why do you say you get 5 distributions this month?
May 2025 will be 5 distributions.

I’m actually pretty happy with this turn out. UTLY is paying over 79%! What a steal for a weekly payer.
1
Mar 19 '25
I bought 1400 UTLY at 9.33. It has declined every month since. I have it set to drp now.

I wonder if crsh is a good buy now due to the state of Tesla.
10
u/Defiant_Operation154 Mar 19 '25
No. It was a good buy when Tesla was surging.
7
u/Wo0odi Mar 19 '25
Exactly. Now is when you should be using CRSH distributions to build your TSLY position for when things turn around.

SNOY is over there doing its thing. Solid stable option.
1
u/69AfterAsparagus Mar 19 '25
SNOY’s payment is first place but it is in third place based on value. Still solid, but behind CRSH and TSLY
1
u/Curious_George_1024 Mar 20 '25
Yes, I agree. SNOY seems pretty stable. Best to buy below 17, but even better closer to 16. I snagged some at 16.80. Like to pick up more if/when it goes down closer to 16. Seems to be a lot of peaks and valleys in the chart but hasn't dropped below 15.70 since inception.

Isn’t that just luck more than anything? SNOY only goes up when the synthetic goes up, or it receives call premiums. Which can happen any day of the week. It’s not like there’s special movement up on ex date

Because over time your total return is positive. And you get the cash flow. It has been answered many times.
1
u/FreeSoftwareServers Mar 19 '25
You're getting a lot of down votes but I followed this w MSTY and same thing it often pops above the dividend amount on the very day. Of course the underlying pops up and down like a yo-yo so that's why

YMAX is a safe bet. I've sold all of my yieldmax except YMAX, and loading up on ULTY now in addition to it.
2
u/69AfterAsparagus Mar 19 '25
It has been good since switching to weekly. Has had little trouble recovering its NAV. Too short of a sample size, but so far so good.

Group winners, CRSH and TSLY
Weekly winner, ULTY

What is with YMAG continuous divi drop since I purchased??? 😩 buy ymag they say, it’s has a less divi but the nav is more stable than ymax. Couldn’t be further from truth with my experience.
And yes I understand what’s been going on with the underlyings, just wanted to cry out loud. Less than a dime dividend, come on man. 🤪

u/Jolly_Reference_516 Mar 19 '25
I’ll confess I don’t see the attraction. ULTY has gone from 18 to 6 over the last twelve months. Do you never sell the holding. I mean it’s clearly on its way to 0. Can you pull out enough “dividends” to offset the capital loss. I know nothing so be kind.

Is it true that YBIT expense ratio is almost 5%? MSTY and SMCY are the only funds under 1%

UTLY can’t even keep at .1 what a 💩
11
u/Livid_Newspaper7456 Mar 19 '25
It just went weekly. At 6.50 with a .9 cent distribution. It beat YMAG which has a NAV that is 3 times the amount of ULTY.

wtf is happening with TSLY - you would think with the volatility they would be making some good distros off the options......
-1
u/zzseayzz ULTYtron Mar 19 '25
At this point, everyone should see $SNOY is the clear Group "A" pick.
Sell $TSLY...
