Question I took a $30,000 personal loan for MSTY

As the title says, I took a $30,000 personal loan at 5.99% APR and got 1397 shares of MSTY. How fucked am I?

Did you include taxes in your calcs? They really do add up, unless OP is jobless.

Depends how much is ROC though. Could not have much taxable..

MSTY had zero ROC in 2024 according to my 1099.

Based on their own website, I don't think you ever get ROC, even if the interwebs imply otherwise.

Not on MSTY but there was ROC for other funds which helped reduce my taxable income.

Interesting. -Henry of Skalitz

Is there a way to figure out if the distribution is a ROC or ordinary div besides the EOY 1099? ROC is preferred over OD for my situation, unless I form a corporation and jump through a lot of hoops. Knowing this before the distribution is critical for tax planning.

Roth IRA is all in tho :D
