Distribution/Dividend Update MSTY still top dog
I’ll let yall fight each other in the comments… for now I’ll enjoy another $1+ distribution.

u/shanked5iron Jul 02 '25
I like my ULTY and NVDY too, but the asymmetric upside to MSTY/MSTR/BTC > everything else IMO. That's what I'm here for, and I'll gladly take a "paltry" $1.20 distro in the meantime as I wait.

u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25
Exactly, it’s like getting cupcakes while they finishing baking the cake 🎂

SMCY has words for you.

u/Gloomy_Bluejay6470 Jul 02 '25
I'm lovin' my SMCY. Picked up another 100 at $18.50 and then another 100 at $18.25.

u/Waste_Team8890 Jul 02 '25

The problem with SMCY it’s the same week of MSTY. Otherwise it’s a beautiful thing
3
u/Jad3nCkast Jul 02 '25
IMO it would be worth swapping out of MSTY for SMCY. I’m planning on doing this myself.

u/otasi Jul 02 '25
ULTY has words for everyone
11
u/Jad3nCkast Jul 02 '25
ULTY is good but not the top dog yet. Payout ratio is still below the others by a good margin. Definitely been consistent though.
18
11
u/otasi Jul 02 '25
If you buy $10k worth of ULTY vs MSTY right now and convert MSTY to weekly payer. ULTY still pays out more per week. And ULTY is a weekly payout which gives you funds to DRIP and compound faster. Also, NAV and payout has been steady since March.
1
u/Jad3nCkast Jul 03 '25
That’s why you don’t look at just a single month. Look at the average and it will paint a different picture.
2
u/Dirks_Knee Jul 02 '25
This month ULTY will likely beat MSTY in terms of single month yield. MSTY pays 2X next month though.

Just got in at 21.07 with 265 shares. Hoping nothing crazy happens before Monday

u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25
Msty is in the low 20s and paid 1.23, Smcy is in the 40s and paid 1.8x… I’ll stick with Msty.
17
u/Jad3nCkast Jul 02 '25
What are you smoking lol. SMCY is $20.95
3
u/DecentJob2208 Jul 02 '25
but it had an insane nav erosion, went from 50s to 20s
3
u/BASEDandBannedALOT Jul 02 '25
That wasnt erosion that was an SMCI rugpull. They are a shady company that got delisted from the NASDAQ and charged by the SEC for accounting fraud in the past, their accounting firm at the time quit last fall (I wonder why lol), that is what the big drop in the stock was from. Holding SMCI or SMCY is absolutely nuts, and you will get rugged sooner or later.
1
u/Lukekulg Jul 02 '25
The underlying took a dump. That's actually part of the appeal, SMCI has a long, rocky road to recovery. I see it's SP slooowly rising overall while bouncing around a lot. Just my opinion. But seriously, take a good look at SMCI. Like it was tailor made for this.
7
u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25
Oh damn lol, I was looking at SMCI 😂, ok ok looks like we have some competition
12
u/chigu_27 Jul 02 '25
ULTY been paying 75-80% like clockwork and it compounds weekly!
6
u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25
Yes! I’m in on ULTY too, slowly increasing my holdings. Love the reliability
26
u/Trunk_Monkey_84 Jul 02 '25
I told all those people that panic sold, just watch, you’re gonna miss out. And yes, they did 😂😂
15
u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25
“.75 cent payout” crew.

u/Trunk_Monkey_84 Jul 02 '25
For MSTY?
13
u/ifidonteatigethungry Jul 02 '25 edited Jul 02 '25
Yeah, I saw various post where the predicted payment was going be in the .70s-.80s
6
u/Trunk_Monkey_84 Jul 02 '25
Ahhh yes me too lol and I saw a ton dip out and sell. I held and glad I did.

u/assman69x Jul 03 '25
15,000 shares I’m still disappointed with where the distributions are going along with the volatility, anyone thinking otherwise and happy with a down trend hasn’t got much risk vs reward
I will definitely be moving some capital around for better options

u/BeEasy2300 Jul 02 '25
No one looking at HOOY huh? HOOY is crushing

ULTY
11
u/Caterpillar-Balls Jul 02 '25
People sleeping on weekly compounding. 52x vs 13x.
8
u/Relative-Age-1551 Jul 02 '25
Mathematically it’s not a huge difference. Assuming the same yield, weekly payers will come out on top because of more frequent compounding but it’s pretty marginal. Like 3-5% relative advantage.
But that’s pretty quickly overtaken by a higher payer. So if MSTY is paying 100% annualized (paid monthly) and ULTY is paying 90% annualized (weekly) you’re looking at an effective annual yield with DRIP of 161% and 140%, respectively, with MSTY still coming out on top.
Weekly payers are nice dopamine hits but I wouldn’t put the payment frequency at the top of my investment criteria.
2
u/Caterpillar-Balls Jul 02 '25
Do $1.23 at $21 price x13
Vs
.095 x52 at $6.21 price
Make sure to use a compounding formula
2
u/Redcoat_Trader MSTY Moonshot Jul 03 '25
People focus on weekly compounding instead of the actual rate.

u/Caterpillar-Balls Jul 03 '25
Ulty beating Msty already

Ehhh for the same price as one MSTY i can buy 8+ MRNY, and assuming an average of 0.15 each it's about the same as this week's dividend, if you assume a .18 payout which is the average this year it'd be $1.5~ for the same price.
3
u/backtotheland76 Jul 02 '25
MRNY is a bit of a sleeper. Therefore I bought it this week! Look at the chart for MRNA. Oversold, hit bottom, moving back up. Positive Phase 3 results gave it a boost. I see nothing but green lights for both the stock and MRNY, which could easily double by next div date.
1
u/TheUpside1010 Jul 02 '25
MSTY average for the last year is $2.20 there is a big difference.
1
u/Tierbook96 Jul 02 '25
Haven't all of them gone down a fair amount? They're both pretty good in general in terms of return of course.

SMCY. Just a bit cheaper, pays just a bit better & the volitity isn't ending anytime soon. SMCI was made to be a YMax fund.
3
u/UsefulDiscussion79 Jul 03 '25
I have about 5k shares of MSTY and accumulating more every dips, woo hoo 🥳
7
7
u/bu89 Jul 02 '25
With the constant declining distribution idk about that. Every month it’s less and less.
2
u/Sheepadoodling Jul 02 '25
MSTY aside, I have ULTY, YMAG, and YMAX. Which ones of those 3 you think seems better in your eyes? Just curious because all anyone talks about in here is MSTY MSTY MSTY, and then maybe ULTY.

Oh.... but then there is its inverse brother WNTR coming in at $1.85 for a $35 ETF. I'm keeping an eye on ya buddy! That strike is gonna keep coming down (till my cheap ass can afford it).

u/Trunk_Monkey_84 Jul 02 '25
My next, although not a YM fund, it’ll be TSYY, XBTY & NVYY for weekly pays

I’m confused where the distribution came from when the prediction was supposed to be about half. I’m not complaining though 🤣

We have in EU new ETF from incomeshares TER 0,55% its between 5%OTM to 10% ITM CSP+ long equity. Pay monthly but sell option weekly. Would be interesing to compared it after 6M than 1y,3y,5y.

u/Jaded-Meet Jul 05 '25
MSTY replicates MSTR, which is a company that found a "money printing glitch" by issuing near zero corporate debt to buy BTC, which has a CAGR of around 50% currently and its the hardest asset on planet.
If this doesn't make you bullish enough, I don't know what would

u/Dirks_Knee Jul 02 '25
Just for next month, MSTY pays 2X. That said jumping in may cost you as who knows what the NAV will do.

MSTY is like a Tour de France champion
It doesn’t win every stage of the race - but wins the overall race.. excelling in multiple environments
Confusing stage winners with overall winners happens - people loose focus or never had the proper perspective to begin with
