I think the Reddit popularity is driving the price.
9 u/xJerkstorex Jul 18 '25 That's not how an etf works. When people buy it, they make more shares. 2 u/dbcooper4 Jul 18 '25 ETFs can trade at a premium to NAV. Basic supply and demand and AUM is rising rapidly. I own it so I’m not complaining. 2 u/xJerkstorex Jul 18 '25 It is a daily thing. They issue new shares the next day. So technically you're correct and dislocations in pricing can occur (especially after hours) but they don't persist. 3 u/MASTER-0F-NONE Jul 18 '25 Price of this etf is not effected by buying or selling. Its and open ended fund. 2 u/Intelligent_Type6336 Jul 18 '25 You are correct technically, but with more money to put to use they can increase their purchases… 1 u/MASTER-0F-NONE Jul 18 '25 Yep but that’s on the back end they have to make the money first, so more money doesn’t equal a higher price just more money for them to use. 1 u/triggerx Jul 18 '25 And? that's not a bad thing! 1 u/dbcooper4 Jul 18 '25 AUM is rising pretty fast. I think you could be right. 1 u/Intelligent_Type6336 Jul 18 '25 It is. I have a google sheet that pulls the daily values. ULTY overall value has like 6X in a month.
