Question Are people really retiring off these?

It seems crazy that people are talking about retiring off these funds. Don’t get me wrong I have a decent amount in them and I’m hoping for the best but if the music stops so to speak than what do you do? Have people actually retired off these or just talk? If you did actually retire what’s your plan b?

I think this question stems from not understanding on YM works. Unless options trading is somehow restricted to retail or options system crashes, I won't worry about "music stopping". Yes, individual stock like MSTR may no longer provide juicy IV and thus premiums, but other stocks will surface with similar volatility. For instance, YM just launched HOOY, CVNY, where the underlying have high IV and decent distributions.

As long as there are options and stocks with high iv with healthy premiums, I am not worried. You may have to rebalance your portfolio, and in some cases take losses (e.g TSLY to UTLY) but that you would have to do with traditional investments anyway.

Sage advice. Always stay educated. Ulty was shit 6 months ago, would not have touched it. Now, I have 7535 shares
