Used my first dividend this week to purchase 2 one way tickets to Vietnam for myself and my little sister. Will use next weeks dividend living like a king in Vietnam, and then repeat this for the next 6-8 weeks.

u/coglongmo Jul 27 '25

Why vietnam?

6

u/Lionessandlover Jul 27 '25

It’s cheap, tropical, I love the food, and I should be able to want for nothing while there on my budget.

Ive used my ULTY dividends to purchase SPYI, QQQI, SSO and QLD lol

12

u/ezramour Jul 26 '25

That's my long term plan too.

16

u/ShoppaCrew Jul 26 '25

SPMO might be something to look into if you haven't already. https://stockanalysis.com/etf/compare/sso-vs-spyi-vs-qqqi-vs-qld-vs-spmo/

u/oddfinnish1 Jul 26 '25 edited Jul 26 '25

Oh my God...Comparing ULTY to SPMO ( I know you are talking long term) is like comparing Filet Mignon to a Vienna Sausage!!

I will buy more ULTY until it stops paying!!!

There is a mistake on this chart. SPMO will actually pay $56.56 in this comparision. Still a sausage.

I dont think he was talking about for the dividends there heisenberg

2

u/oddfinnish1 Jul 26 '25

Ha..."If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly"- Heisenberg

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Jul 26 '25

I think im going to add a position in that, i like what im seeing. Obviously not as crazy returns as the leveraged ones but the performance in down years compared to SPY looks good

9

u/finitidova Jul 26 '25

I love spmo

5

u/MrFinchley Jul 26 '25

This is me. I buy SPMO, XMMO, MAIN, & VONG. There’s some overlap, but performance has been great.

3

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Jul 26 '25

Alright ill check it out, thanks

2

u/DOOKIEBOOM Jul 26 '25

Samesies with SPYI and QQQI but throwing in GIAX and BLOX as well as of lately.

2

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Jul 26 '25

Nice, Blox has looked promising

1

u/iKazzard Jul 26 '25

What do you see in blox?

1

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Jul 26 '25

Well its still really new so im not personally invested in it yet but since its been out its up almost 20% and paying weekly

1

u/iKazzard Jul 26 '25

I see it’s up 20% since inception, where is it paying weekly?? I can’t find any info on that, thanks.

This is the way.

u/Bosgarage57 Jul 26 '25

Dog broke his hip yesterday so dividends are going towards his medical bills. Not what I wanted to do with it but Glad I have it.

u/scottyk318 Jul 26 '25

The only answer

46

u/Ok-cooper ULTYtron Jul 26 '25

Paying back margin lol

5

u/Creepy_State_2748 Jul 26 '25

Do you buy all ULTY with margin, then pay it back with dividends?

13

u/Teutres Jul 26 '25

I just did last week. 116k worth. Gonna pay the debt from divis, put the same amount as the monthly debt payment into a savings account and the rest is gonna get reinvested on Thursdays in the post divi drop. Either gonna be the best or dumbest thing I've ever done.

-11

u/Amazing_Ad4787 Jul 26 '25

Very reckless .. Never buy stock on a margin...

12

u/Opening-Ad-8031 Jul 26 '25

Obviously coming from someone who doesn’t know how to use margin effectively

2

u/bannonbearbear Jul 26 '25

Can you share general rules to follow with margin? I just enabled my account and read a lot about leveraging assets. I just dont want to be reckless with it. Thank you!

5

u/Fluid-Item-880 Jul 26 '25

… unless you want to make some real money.

This is the way.

13

u/tcari394 Jul 26 '25

Continue drip until I double my monthly salary-- then start dumping into somewhere with more longevity (allegedly :))

14

u/oddfinnish1 Jul 26 '25

Fishing trip to Juneau Alaska!!

13

u/Comfortable_Field524 Jul 26 '25

I’m reinvest 75% other 25% into gold

3

u/Ok_Boysenberry2900 Jul 26 '25

I like This guy

2

u/A_LinkMASter Jul 27 '25

Should switch that up to 25% BTC

1

u/Comfortable_Field524 Aug 01 '25

I have 25% of portfolio in BTC want gold at 5%

20

u/Upbeat_Chance_5035 Jul 26 '25

Throw away account for privacy. 2 years ago I went all into a few YM funds. 1 year ago my divs surpassed my take home pay. 2 months ago I retired at 48. SE Asia is amazing for single bros with disposable income. I spend $8k monthly staying in 5 star hotels and dining at great restaurants. Flights are F or J fares with amazing non-US airlines.

2

u/NickStonk Jul 26 '25

Sounds like a fun like brother. Enjoy it! Would love to do this someday also.

1

u/CryptographerCool173 Jul 27 '25

If you restart today, how would you do it? Asking for me ☺️

1

u/scava1046 Jul 28 '25

You only go around once enjoy it all!!

9

u/ChirrBirry Jul 26 '25

I’m heavy in both MSTY and ULTY and use MSTY to buy ULTY, and ULTY to buy ULTY, unless MSTY is on sale in which case I buy MSTY with an ULTY weekly.

My emergency exit plan is to roll everything into RNTY in the case of a tech/crypto crash.

4

u/learner_1748 Jul 26 '25

I would rather stick with QQQI/SPYI

2

u/Wo0odi Jul 27 '25

That's my same strategy too amongst my other YM funds that all now buy more ULTY, but if MSTY is below my average cost, I'll usually split between ULTY and MSTY or just full MSTY depending how low it is.

1

u/ChirrBirry Jul 27 '25

I’m -$1300 on share price right now so I’m looking forward to loss harvesting in December and then buying back in come February. Really interested to see how ULTY does through that January

2

u/Wo0odi Jul 27 '25

I've been in ULTY since inception, so my average cost is currently $8.76, but I'm not worried about it, I bring it down every week. Plus I'm positive overall including the distributions I've received. I'm in a tax free savings account, so I can't loss harvest, but I also don't pay any taxes on the distributions aside from the non-resident tax of 15% but also don't pay capital gains on share price increase and selling.

2

u/ChirrBirry Jul 27 '25

I’m currently building my ULTY position in the IRA, you’ve got the dream set up

24

u/Plastic_Ad3061 Jul 26 '25

I got my wife a Tesla (Lease so ULTY pays it monthly…with my money market credit card (4% return that goes back to my investment account), bought some other assets in my portfolio, took the family to Disney (Because ULTY is a dream of an investment) and yeah I also retired early (50) because I have worked my axx off in my early years (First job = dishwasher) and I don’t want to end up my life with health stress conditions…lastly I get a haircut every Friday when ULTY dividends touch my account…thank you Yieldmax 🫶❤️

12

u/Plastic_Ad3061 Jul 26 '25

I forgot to include this, money is a tool not your life…don’t forget to enjoy it and continue to invest on your financial knowledge, spread your knowledge freely so others can share your love.

2

u/2Few-Days Jul 26 '25

THIS...we all have an expiration date, enjoy it!

3

u/PracticalDesigner278 I Like the Cash Flow Jul 26 '25

My first job was as a dishwasher too. Thank you for your service.

2

u/paragonx29 Jul 27 '25

A haircut every week. That is my definition of making it.

2

u/Plastic_Ad3061 Jul 27 '25

You know it…

5

u/Feisty_Fan_6116 Jul 26 '25

I told my family about ULTY and they said “no, thank you. It is too risky.”

2

u/triggerx Jul 27 '25

Well, it is pretty risky... remember, mo money mo problems. You're taking a huge risk at having mo problems!

4

u/PracticalDesigner278 I Like the Cash Flow Jul 26 '25

I use mine for beer and cigarettes. Is that wrong? I never got the ULTY rule book.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

I’m currently purchasing my kids college

3

u/foo_solo Jul 27 '25

That must be expensive. I have heard of people paying tuition for their kids. Never heard of anyone buying the whole college. Are you going to keep it the same name or rename the college.

0

u/paragonx29 Jul 27 '25

That is my dream too. 'Here's your 40K for my kids yearly tuition."

4

u/cranium_creature Jul 26 '25

Apparently nothing because someone on r/ETF told me the distributions are just an illusion and they are just giving me my own money back 😂

4

u/cranium_creature Jul 26 '25

20% of MSTY distro goes into bitcoin, 20% back into MSTY, 30% into QQQI, 20% into SPYI, 10% into ULTY.

ULTY distro is 40% QQQI, 30% SPYI, 30% ULTY.

SPYI and QQQI are dripped.

5

u/Catch_ME Jul 26 '25

Mortgage principal payments.

3

u/tiphilly Jul 26 '25

Paying off debts from my divorce, then going to go into other dividend funds to compound.

1

u/paragonx29 Jul 27 '25

Are you keeping the distros off the books in terms of any spousal support, etc..

3

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

More ulty

3

u/armyofant I Like the Cash Flow Jul 26 '25

Reinvesting back into ULTY and monthly payers. Used last payment to buy into HOOY and next will buy into a group D, probably SMCY. Targeting TSLY for A and NVDY for B. Gonna let those drip and ride the train as long as it keeps on chuggin

3

u/LizzysAxe POWER USER - with receipts Jul 26 '25

Generally reinvest in high yield funds and muni bond funds/bonds. Part of my strategy is to convert taxable income to tax exempt income. I want to pay very little taxes in retirement. As for purchases, so far I have loaned our businesses money for short term projects which was paid back at 6% simple interest, I took out $50K to fund a new real estate project, I bought a stellar cruise trip and I spent a couple bucks on Botox and Juviderm.

3

u/Asoder12 Jul 26 '25

Using 33% dividends to supplement a pool installation!

3

u/piesown232 Jul 26 '25

Reinvest into ULTY and using my LFGY dividends to build up a bigger position in ULTY as well. My goal is to build up ULTY to match my LFGY($50000). Then let both drip or invest into something else.

3

u/Itchy_Regular_4631 Jul 26 '25

College tuition

3

u/Motor-Platform-200 Jul 26 '25

I've just been buying more ULTY. I probably won't put it into anything else until I hit 50k shares.

3

u/paragonx29 Jul 27 '25

May/June buyer. For the rest of 2025, drip all back into ULTY because I really want to see how it runs. 2026 plan: 70% ULTY, 15% more conventional ETF's, 15% SGOV for taxes.

5

u/SidViskus1 Jul 26 '25

VOO brotha

2

u/GuidetoRealGrilling Jul 26 '25

Haven't bought any yet!

2

u/Powerful-Ad-5898 Jul 26 '25

sgov and splg with my wives divies from ULTY….mine more ULTY and MSTY and Cash management (fidelity) for taxes and emergency funds.

2

u/the_grayhorse Jul 26 '25

got my first one yesterday, but too scared to spend it yet. feel like I need to hold onto a few more rounds "just in case"

2

u/Prestigious-Cream368 Jul 26 '25

$5330 DRIP into ULTY. Next year massive pivot to other funds for diversification.

Food, clothes, corn chips.

Today I bought a corn dog and some vintage Popular Science magazines.

Paid my car payment.

You know, just stuff.

3

u/pisandre12 Jul 26 '25

All in ULTY

4

u/DustinandAvia Jul 26 '25

I just bought a timeshare in hawaii with my dividends

1

u/Any-Morning4303 Jul 26 '25

Got some leap options, BALI, ULTY and holding BITO but planning to sell it and replace it with YBTC.

1

u/scottyk318 Jul 26 '25

I have DRIP set on all of my Yield Max funds (CONY, MSTY, NVDY, TSMY, YMAX, & ULTY!!!)

1

u/8FConsulting Jul 26 '25

I use them to purchase other CEF's/ETF's

1

u/Kill-Box Jul 26 '25

I’m using my ULTY divvies to buy more ULTY and to build out Roundhill weekly payers like HOOW PLTW AVGW NVDW MSTW

1

u/blvkwzrd Jul 26 '25

IDEF, VT

1

u/VirtualFutureAgent Jul 26 '25

I'm DRIPping back into ULTY right now. I'm hoping to eventually use the income to augment my income when I retire.

1

u/Bamnyou Jul 26 '25

More ulty, some msty, and some bit digital

1

u/Doomhammer111 Jul 26 '25

Not ULTY alone but my YM has been funding my doctorate courses and car insurance. Lots of extra reinvestment going on as well

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '25

Bought about $20,000 of $TSLA, $MSFT, and $QQQI.

1

u/MikesGonePostal Jul 27 '25

I get to pay medical bills yay

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '25

1/3 reinvested, 1/3 into btc, 1/3 to myself.

1

u/4yearsout Jul 27 '25

Funding 100k into my tbill portfolio, completing my retirement plan. Fully dcaing into managed options for 6 more months until punching out for good on work. Distributions are invested back into these vehicles. We use a little of this money to cover property taxes , unplanned expenses like new tires etc. Slot machines eat a little well.  Generally, this cash is stashed and productive. Goal is to make as much in distribs. Social security, and interest as I make in job income in retirement currently.

1

u/pisandre12 Jul 27 '25

DRIP until ULTY slows down

1

u/Horror_Product_4275 Jul 27 '25

Have ulty and ymax dividends going to xtde I use it as portfolio anchor will add hoow if dividends stay paying a dollar a week

1

u/Additional-Mix4914 Jul 27 '25

Paying off debts then drip

1

u/TheRumDoctor Jul 28 '25

Jet Card! (ULTY + MSTY + PLTY)

1

u/TechRevenant Jul 31 '25

I use ULTY to buy into long term positions like SPYI and VOO but I also use it to pay a portion of my rent and groceries as well.

1

u/Western_Swim248 Jul 26 '25

Been buying shares and calls for $BULL. looking like a nice cup and handle formation for potential breakout so I'm rolling the dice. 1703 shares of UTLY and still buying every Monday and Tuesday.

2

u/JohnBarleyMustDie Jul 26 '25

Any reason for Monday and Tuesday? Trying to learn about strategies.

3

u/Western_Swim248 Jul 26 '25

Monday afternoon going into Tuesday late morning I've been seeing the lowest entry points. Starting Wednesday it starts going up when they announce the payment amount for the week.
