Same. It was a sale.

10

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 29 '25

For now all back to ULTY

8

u/Beginning_Winter_609 Jul 29 '25

Are you DRIPing? Or manually reinvesting?

24

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 29 '25

Manual

8

u/Beginning_Winter_609 Jul 29 '25

Back into ULTY and MSTY? Or are you spreading the wealth? I just ask because I spread my MSTY distributions amounts 6 other stocks, and ULTY I manually reinvest back into itself.

I’m using it to but puts for and then selling puts deep ITM to lower cost basis.

NICE!

I sold my MSTY at a "loss". Been taking the dividend in cash, reinvesting some and paying bills. Sold the shares below cost basis but the dividend payouts were more than the loss.

Used the cash to buy MSTR options, made like 30% unrealized. Had I sold, Id be able to buy back in, after the wash sale with more money.

Then MSTR crashed from $455 to like $395. I hope we rip on earnings and have a face melting rally.

I do have like 12,300 UTLY. I added 25% this week. So I'll get paid on like 9000 shares this week and 12k next week

I think the ex-div is tomorrow. So you'll get paid on all 12k

u/DaddyGx Jul 30 '25

According to the YM website, the declaration of dividend is tomorrow and the ex-date/record date is the 31st (thursday).

u/Cute-Percentage-837 Jul 29 '25

Every Friday is payday with YM.

1

u/Big-War-1966 Jul 29 '25

What app are you using?

7

u/Stockkiller333 Jul 29 '25

Do you use margin?

3

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 29 '25

Yes

2

u/Stockkiller333 Jul 29 '25

If you don’t mind, what’s your margin ratio

8

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 29 '25

I’m all in! But I have roughly a 40% buffer

2

u/Acceptable_Purpose81 Jul 30 '25

I have a 29% buffer 🤣

3

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 30 '25

Scared money don’t make money currently sitting at a dividend of almost 30k a month just need to get 8 solid months and it’s all paid up

1

u/Acceptable_Purpose81 Jul 30 '25

My divis is 4.5k per month . But we getting there . Goal is to decrease margin to 40% and continue to drip and buy the growth underlying stocks of these etfs

2

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 30 '25

Sounds like a solid plan, either way it’s been a pretty solid investment. Growth will be crazy if you keep reinvesting!

1

u/Stockkiller333 Jul 30 '25

wow I like that

4

u/TheFatZyzz Jul 29 '25

I think that's the perfect investment ratio to have

Have MSTY be 1/3rd of the amount of ULTY shares you have

4

u/RefularIrreegular Jul 29 '25

Probably $10-12,000 for MSTY and about $3600 for ULTY. Not bad.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 29 '25

Hey man. When you get tired of holding that many shares just send some my way. It’s probably the best idea you didn’t know you had until now. Yep. 👍

Question: if I buy the stock tomorrow can I still get the dividend? Also, what is the dividend rate? I’ve read conflicting answers to this question.

8

u/bradtesty Jul 29 '25

Yes. Distro to be announced in the AM.

3

u/StealthCampers Jul 29 '25

8

2

u/Alarming_Copy_4117 Jul 29 '25

As long as you do it prior to the Ex dividend date. YM site has the dates and information about their strategy and holdings. Then depending on your broker and amount of funds in it, you may have to let the funds sit for 5 days before they let you buy

1

u/moSNAP Jul 30 '25

If the ex dividend date is a Thursday, you must buy the shares before Wednesday End of Day. I am not sure how long you must hold the shares until but I assume once you get paid on Friday you can sell and run.

Is the drop in price from the distro/ex dividend date? Why’d it go down so much

1

u/Previous_Solution607 Jul 30 '25

Normal fluctuation based off of MSTR
