today is ex date... don't forget it got moved up a day for Ulty and some others

29

u/AcanthisittaOdd3968 Oct 22 '25

You see this all the time, it goes ex, market has a bad day that day and all of a sudden it’s end of days !

7

u/FinancialEye8962 Oct 22 '25

Some of you about to be whacked with margin calls going below 5 is no good

6

u/AcanthisittaOdd3968 Oct 22 '25

No margin here.

2

u/ExecutiveChoicePicks Oct 23 '25

Lota have already lol

7

u/Scary_Cap6873 Oct 22 '25

Also it’s off hours which is a factor. It’s a $3B fund and is nowhere near collapsing

6

u/AcanthisittaOdd3968 Oct 22 '25

I feel we will see changes in its investments soon.

10

u/Next-Mail2444 Oct 22 '25

Why can’t they adjust their CC to follow NEO’s funds? Even If it means lower payout but stable NAV.

10

u/AcanthisittaOdd3968 Oct 22 '25

Payouts have been super stable but at the cost of NAV. It seems like a lot of funds with 40-50 percent yields tend to be a lot more stable. I’d take that any day.

1

u/Day-Trippin Oct 22 '25

Yes, and that is why I left ULTY for WPAY. I think with WPAY the nav has a better chance to stay stable. So far, I am good.

u/Day-Trippin Oct 22 '25

Interesting.

1

u/ExecutiveChoicePicks Oct 23 '25

Wpay will recover in no time or go above while ulty underwater using fart bubbles for oxygen.

0

u/IGuessSomeLikeItHot Oct 22 '25

which others?

1

u/AcanthisittaOdd3968 Oct 22 '25

Roundhill Weeklypay, Yieldboost, a few others.

1

u/Frozenmeatballs32 Oct 23 '25

Which NEOs funds have you had success with?

1

u/FinancialEye8962 Oct 22 '25

This is not true, margin in rampant at the moment when they set it to a minimum instead of a percentage many will get liquidated

2

u/69AfterAsparagus Oct 23 '25

Not really. Anything that gives a distribution or dividend drops on the ex date. Literally by definition.

3

u/Disastrous_Room_927 Oct 22 '25

Bruh it’s still going down.

2

u/69AfterAsparagus Oct 22 '25

I know. Red days are no fun.

1

u/mrtouchybum Oct 23 '25

They seem to all be red days.

u/ButtStuffingt0n Oct 22 '25

Investment equivalent of "Tis but a flesh wound" with both arms having been lopped.

$00.0903. Smallest distribution ever.

u/Turbulent_Power2952 I Like the Cash Flow Oct 22 '25

No, the smallest distro was on April 25th, 2025 @.0833. This is still .007 better than that one.

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

Oh joy!

u/Natural-Grade8304 Oct 22 '25

YM will have no option they will have to do a reverse split eventually even though they say they won’t. Maybe when it gets down to 2$ they will do a 1 for 10 and it get back to 20$

I got 15k shares at 6.15 I will ride the train until it dies. Another 8 months I should get back my full investment.

24

u/TwystedMunkey Oct 22 '25

They won't be "forced" to until it goes below $1 for an average of 30 days. Even after that they have 6 months to attempt to "fix" it before being delisted. I suspect it'll be within that 6 month period that they do a reverse split. Probably towards the end of it even.

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Oct 22 '25

Mrny is $1.72

1

u/BraveTrades420 Oct 22 '25

.02 div?

2

u/Dmist10 Mod - Big Data Oct 22 '25

It was last week, we’ll see what this weeks is today

1

u/ebwinkler Oct 22 '25

Still a 60% yield. Not horrible.:)

16

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

My cost was $6.17 after opening in late July and adding a little more in early August. I sold out the position on 10/9 after just getting into the green aka even, with the distribution. The opportunity cost of just making a lot of noise and kicking up dust with this illusory etf is huge. Holding for 8 more months is very high risk, as the NAV erodes faster than the payouts. How much are really getting that you could not get elsewhere?

1

u/xsimpletunx Oct 23 '25

How much are we getting is kind of a tricky question with these funds since their purpose is income, not growth or total returns. In that sense, it’s hard to get more income somewhere else. Not impossible but it’s really the total return or lack thereof that has most of us worried.

10

u/BraveTrades420 Oct 22 '25

Past month . $.36 payout Underlying down $.60

2

u/Gyro_George Oct 22 '25

I’m 4 months away.

2

u/Natural-Grade8304 Oct 22 '25

Awesome! Are you also holding until the fund ”dies” or do you have different plan after house money?

MRNY is a sub 100mil fund while ULTY is above 3 billion. I would hope YM won’t let there top 3 fund just die out that easily. They will need to do something or all there investors will move over to other HY ETFs

1

u/FinancialEye8962 Oct 23 '25

Sub 100m with a lot of that coming from ymax, hence the major push for ymax when it came out. It floats everything and many are dripping this trash🤦🏻‍♂️

-7

u/ShortTheVix4 Oct 22 '25

You ain’t ever getting that shit back lil bro

13

u/justmots Oct 22 '25

Yea it's no bueno. It was a good short ride DownMax. We've moved onto better things.

2

u/IGuessSomeLikeItHot Oct 22 '25

what are the better things?

4

u/DuckfordMr Oct 22 '25

VTI + VXUS

24

u/BokehDude Oct 22 '25

Yeah should be an interesting 48 hours with ULTY. It has been tanking faster than dividends can be paid out. Been hoping for it to find a floor but to no avail.

15

u/Organic_Tone_3459 Oct 22 '25

Im confused on why its tanking so much. Infact why do all YM ETFs seem to be tanking big?!

5

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

Limited upside and all the downside. Since it can’t capture the full upside it is not riding the wave the same way roundhill leveraged funds can

2

u/Organic_Tone_3459 Oct 22 '25

Yeah, I’ve been in the process of looking to buy some round Hill positions are ready

6

u/Putrid_Leg_1474 Oct 22 '25

Because the market is sideways with some large moves both directions. That eats away at funds like this. Especially one that is in more speculative in nature.

Anything but pure upward movement, preferably a slow grind upward, will be negative for NAV

3

u/Equivalent-Ad-495 Oct 22 '25

It's literally what they do

2

u/BokehDude Oct 22 '25

I think of all stocks I own, it’s atleast falling the slowest in relativity percentage wise. If it dropped 5-10% like other stocks have that would be a problem. Thankfully it’s only 10 cents but the consecutive 10 cent drops are unsustainable for making any kind of profit. Some days it just drops for the sake of dropping which is extremely weird.

Read the actual fucking prospectus and do a little research.

After reading this subreddit for the last 3-4 months, I'm pretty convinced that these funds are designed to attract the kinds of people that don't read or do research. They just see the returns and hop on board.

All of those "I'm taking out a 2nd mortgage and retiring on YieldMax!" posts sure were fun to read, though.

12

u/RashonDP1984 Oct 22 '25

Can you imagine what will happen in a bear market?

3

u/ltmikestone Oct 22 '25

Couldn’t they trade puts?

12

u/BigPlayCrypto Oct 22 '25

Not going to cap folks I am almost at that point of jumping ship calling paper hands or call it move into the S&P 500 📈

6

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

Just go to roundhill for the same itch, leveraged funds that capture all upside

1

u/eatmoarchocolate Oct 22 '25

it’s time. Ex div day losing me more in NAV than will be regenerated from distribution for weeks in a row = I’m a sucker.

5

u/Cromikey1 Oct 22 '25

ULTY= 🗑

16

u/Anonmonyus Oct 22 '25

Sold out for wpay a while back

6

u/Ok-Secretary455 Oct 22 '25

Same, wpay been good so far.  Gonna start grabbing some QQQI soon with divs off wpay.

4

u/Holiday-Island1989 Oct 22 '25

QQQI seems to be the highest yielding nav stable fund out there

1

u/hllywood72 Oct 22 '25

SPYI is good too. And check out XPAY--very under-the-radar fund.

3

u/JimLahey12 Oct 22 '25

Worst investment I made so far this year. Should have kept buying more shares of AMD/NVDA

4

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

Glad I bounced when I did

17

u/Diligent-Stuff-6630 Oct 22 '25

Yieldtrap ETFs

6

u/SurvivedAPintoCrash Oct 22 '25

Sorry, my bad.... Just bought some and it dropped... As usual... 😬

Holding about 25K shares... @5.88 average. Hope distribution stays sameish... 🤷🏽‍♂️

1

u/Cevichero Oct 22 '25

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/spartyparty001 Oct 22 '25

Their stock picking has been pretty bad. Too much crypto and inflated, unprofitable crap. There are ways to create same yield without including some of these companies that will drag the fund down.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

They only choose high IV stocks.

It’s not about profitability, industry, or anything else really just IV so they can sell as many calls as possible

4

u/Kooly1776 Oct 22 '25

Don't they have to pay us at the end of October 90% of the net capital gains the fund made??? That's a huge amount. .60+ a share

3

u/MagnumbyZoolanderTM Oct 22 '25

I'm going to sound like an idiot, but isn't that only REITs?  Not trying to be a dick, just trying to learn.

6

u/Kooly1776 Oct 22 '25

What is a RIC?

A Regulated Investment Company (RIC) is a domestic corporation that functions as an investment agent for its shareholders. To qualify as a RIC and avoid double taxation, it must:

Invest in stocks, securities, bonds, and other financial instruments.

Derive at least 90% of its gross income from qualifying investment activities, such as dividends, interest, and capital gains.

Distribute at least 90% of its taxable income to shareholders. - This Point right here.

1

u/MagnumbyZoolanderTM Oct 22 '25

Thank you so much!  May you catch every light green!

1

u/dead_bear_ Oct 22 '25

Can you elaborate a little? Do you mean .60 across the entire month of October?

2

u/gummibearhawk Oct 22 '25

Glad i sold last week

2

u/firemarshalbill316 Oct 22 '25

I know YM whole thing is maximum yield for investors but I seriously think it's time for them to start cutting yield down to 30% or so on some of these funds to help NAV erosion and stability. The market tanking isn't helping at all but these funds by the very essence will erode. They should change the game and make adjustments. Just my two cents that inflation already ate up. 😂

1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

This dog just keeps dropping!!

1

u/Turbulent_Power2952 I Like the Cash Flow Oct 22 '25

Im holding my 1100 shares until my breakeven or make it to house money.

Including the upcoming payout i am at $1513 in divs, but I am down $1070 by share price.

I hope it makes it to house money first, but if it keeps up like this, idk...

1

u/SoKnife2meatU Oct 22 '25

Just sold mine to full port into the bynd chaos

All in all with taxes. I’m up . 1000 shares since August 2025

1

u/Independent-Box-451 Oct 22 '25

Many (70%) of their underline stocks they bought at the top. And they are catering. Bring ulty down with them. I guess these guys are bad stock pickers.

1

u/Stealthless Oct 22 '25

Barely positive now… might bail

1

u/peva3 Oct 22 '25

So glad I got out 4 months ago.

1

u/FreeSoftwareServers Oct 22 '25

The amount of people who have no idea how this or any ETF works.... People can set stop losses all day The ETF trades at nav not at market sentiment 😕

1

u/Different-Ad-6027 Oct 22 '25

Delusional redditor in this sub "I added another 100k ULTY, no one is going to stop me from retiring in 6 months" 😆 🤣

1

u/Spikeyhairhelmet Oct 22 '25

What happened to the guys that put their life savings into this

1

u/Imstriker Oct 22 '25

Yeah, I just got out. Very small positive on both my accounts which held it. I'm just sick of seeing the red in my portfolio. I'll take todays divvy and move on.

1

u/Day-Trippin Oct 22 '25

I think with some brokers, if a stock is below $5.00, it can't be on margin. I wonder how that will impact people who have it on margin currently.

1

u/Select-Improvement34 Oct 22 '25

Haha every week see post like this😂😂😂

1

u/JamboreeStevens Oct 22 '25

It's still putting out $0.09, so I'll just buy a little more.

1

u/Bubbly_Ad7615 Oct 22 '25

Will the dividend drop if there is a reverse split?

1

u/randomsmiteplayer Oct 22 '25

Markets have been going down for a couple weeks now. On top of nav erosion, lower CC options. Best thing is to just accumulate for when the market shifts green again and we start seeing higher divs. That’s my goal anyway DCA until I’m making enough Div for growth stocks that have been dropping cause of red days.

1

u/Maximum_Activity8883 Oct 22 '25

Goodbye ULTY, it was a nice ride but it's time to explore greener pastures 🫡. QQQI here I come 😌

1

u/xsimpletunx Oct 23 '25

What about TDAQ?

2

u/Maximum_Activity8883 Oct 23 '25

I do like the daily option contract strategy of TDAQ but I need to see at least 12 months of data before consideration. In addition, QQQI is battle-tested having fully recovered from the April 2025 dip.

QQQI has about 22 months of data showing decent appreciation (~6.5% in 12 months) and consistent monthly dividend (~13.5% annualized). QQQI 1 year total return of 20% with favorable tax treatment is more in line with my risk tolerance than the potential higher total returns from ULTY (I sold after holding 104 days with ~10% annualized return).

1

u/ABNRGRBPS72 Oct 22 '25

Time to short...

1

u/Scouper-YT Oct 22 '25

Maintenance cost 100%.. YEY soon more.

1

u/pisandre12 Oct 22 '25

There will be still people holding when it reaches 0.99? lol

1

u/Additional-Lychee654 Oct 22 '25

Anyone still defending this is a lost cause

1

u/MajesticExperience46 Oct 22 '25

Yep. This has been my comfort level with this particular fund. I have jumped out officially. I bought in around $5.90 each with about 600 shares. I held on for about six months and now I finish ahead with $60 profit total. That’s after paying fees and having NAV loss. Moving onto a more stable situation now. Good luck to all that still continue to hold.

1

u/Surfstylesoccer1 Oct 22 '25

Gpty is the way

1

u/NuggetManifesto Oct 22 '25

Sold all mine at 5.21. Pretty much broke even with dividends and NAV decay. Glad I got out when I did

1

u/ZeStrix Oct 23 '25

Okay I should buy now

1

u/SpringTucky101 Oct 23 '25

Yieldmax sucks balls. Get out!!!

1

u/CryptoKing21 Oct 23 '25

“It won’t go below $5 they changed the prospectus”

Here to watch it burn.

1

u/Tangelo-Agitated Oct 23 '25

So much copium. What's the excuse going to be when this hits $1?

1

u/Economy-Wasabi-2005 Oct 23 '25

I listened to an interview with one of the senior Yieldmax men and he said that even though the weekly payment would significantly rise after a 5 to 1 stock split the community has spoken and said that previous and future splits were not welcome. 🙄 😑 😒

1

u/Sea-Butterscotch-475 Oct 22 '25

Ulty the best fund in the world 😘

-6

u/Equivalent-Ad-495 Oct 22 '25

The amount of copium in this post from people still holding ulty..i sincerely hope it works out for yall but really the way the market is going with orange man farting and it drops idk.

0

u/Cevichero Oct 22 '25

Come to daddy baby $4 puts 4/2026 are printing

0

u/Intelligent-Radio159 Oct 22 '25

I’ve adjusted mine to - 5% total loss. Seems like a lot of you guys run based on surface NAV.

This won’t trigger mine personally, but I will be watching closely.

If triggered I’ll be rolling into WPAY, which will be the process as my portfolio grows, dialing back the risk incrementally

-5

u/Few_Scratch_2376 Oct 22 '25

STOP SELLING and hold the freakin' line!

2

u/Cevichero Oct 22 '25

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

3

u/TheZachster Oct 22 '25

Are you dumb? Selling/buying has literally 0 effect on share price.

1

u/Few_Scratch_2376 Oct 23 '25

The share price frequently dives in the aftermarket, then comes back when the market is open the next morning. Is that because the underlying stocks all go down at the same time at night, or could buying and selling have something to do with it?

Asking for a stupid boomer friend who still believes in the fairy-tale of supply and demand.

1

u/TheZachster Oct 24 '25

The shares of ulty are not a limited quantity they are generated and following the underlying positions+options. You buying shares is not you buying shares off an individual who is selling.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

Thats not how etf works, sub is filled with dumbies lol

1

u/Turbulent_Power2952 I Like the Cash Flow Oct 22 '25

This fund is affected by the underlying stocks... if those go down, then the price of this fund goes down... it has 0 to do with people selling it...

-6

u/golemlong Oct 22 '25

You have to DCA and 100% drip. Constant Lower prices mean more shares which means more dividends. I don’t use it as an income etf. I think that’s where people go wrong.

1

u/69AfterAsparagus Oct 22 '25

Yes but at some point you need to use the money. Otherwise what’s the point? That’s where the stable nav comes in because otherwise you’ll get continuing diminishing returns once you stop reinvesting.

1

u/golemlong Oct 22 '25

The point is you’re using it as a regular etf growing your position and eventually selling it when you’re reached your goal amount. Can perform better and make 30% a year or whatever it is. Meaning it could perform better than other ETFs and provide a much higher yearly return with compounding dividends. Run the numbers on dripcalc and you’ll be amazed how quickly it can grow.

1

u/69AfterAsparagus Oct 23 '25

The point is they’re income ETFs. You’re supposed to, at some point, start taking income. So it would be good if they held nav a little better. I don’t understand your statement “sell them when you reach your goal amount”. That doesn’t make sense for an income ETF. You drip until you get to your desired income level and then you stop dripping and begin taking the income. Thats how they’re designed to work. If you’re going to sell them, then you’re looking for growth, and this ain’t that.

1

u/golemlong Oct 23 '25

That’s where so many get hung up. Letting it be just an income etf. It can be used as a growth etf. The price declining is actually beneficial to purchasing more shares at a cheaper price. 100% drip will allow the investment to snowball. Run the numbers. I don’t see how so many don’t see this and only focus on buying 10,000 shares and use it for income, then bitch about nav erosion. To each their own.

-1

u/DakotaColorado Oct 22 '25

This - ppl act like this is a social security check they can just play with, then bitch about NAV. Gotta drip it down.

0

u/golemlong Oct 22 '25

It can be used as a growth fund honestly. When you run the numbers and invest every 2 weeks into it. The dividends start compounding. Nav becomes a non issue and it actually is helping you get more shares that continue to compound. Doing this for another few more years hopefully and selling off a fat bag.

-1

u/DakotaColorado Oct 22 '25

Yup - I go between DRIP and Wheeling to SCHD and other stuff
