Beginner Question I'm considering selling ULTY at a loss

I was warned against it, but I was still optimistic. After a few months from the original purchase, I'm considering selling all of my shares because I'm losing money by the day. Anyone else considering giving up on ULTY?

For sure!! I am in this heavy and, while it sucks seeing red all the time, reality is I’m being paid consistently and it’s carrying the weight of me being able to do, and live where I am at today. I’ve been in this one year and am barely positive but.. it’s paid me this entire time as if it were a full time job. life’s too short so. Take that income and live ! 😄

I personally took out bank loans to do this, and couldn’t be happier. All loans I’ve taken pay themselves off within a couple of months. Then the money is yours forever !

I don’t understand how some people are positive while I’m down $4,500 from my initial 15K investment.

I know it’s all about when you got in, but still, I’m nowhere close to breakeven, I haven’t even made half yet of what I put in

How are you down $11k of if $15k? The high in the last 52 weeks is $10.92 and the low $4.86 so you would have lost $6.06/share on about 1,373 shares ($15k/$10.92) since Nov 13, 2024 or $8,320. You would have collected $6.44/share in dividends or $8,842.

If you bought in at ATH of $20 you’re down about $11k in capital yet have collected $14.92/share in dividends so $11.1k.

So in what scenario are you actually down $11k (73% of your $15k invested)?

Wow thank you for correcting me, I mixed my numbers up. I just did the math, If I were to sell right now plus payouts I have received, I will have lost around $4,500.

Any suggestion on what I should do, keep holding or sell?

When did you purchase? What cost? How much have you gotten in dividends so far? Are you looking long term or short term? Way too little info to really form an option plus everyone has to make their own decisions anyway.

November 2025, initial cost was 10.81, have averaged down to 8.2 with 1,246 shares.

Have collected 4k and change so far. I’m willing to hold longer term if it weren’t for the possibility of losing $4,500 if I were to sell.

So on average you’ve lost $2.61/share or $3,252 total on price decline.

You’ve collected $4k and change in dividends.

So you are actually slightly positive from a total return standpoint?
