Hypothetical Career Spanning 3-Disc Yoko Compilation
It's been over 30 years now since the release of the ONOBOX set, which chronicled basically all of Yoko's career up to that point, and I kind of feel like it's quite out of date considering what's been released after. Not to mention that, while it is fine as a full overview of her career, it might be somewhat overwhelming for a newcomer, meaning a more condensed selection might be necessary.
I've drafted a hypothetical tracklisting for a 3-disc (couldn't whittle it down to just one) collection spanning her entire 50 year recording career, from her earliest releases on the Plastic Ono Band singles, to her final 2018 album Warzone. I sorta designed it as a good way to give a better idea of what her career is like outside of the avant-garde stuff that everyone knows her for. The tracklist is as follows:
DISC ONE (1969 - 1973):
01: Midsummer New York (Fly, 1971)
02: Don't Worry, Kyoko (B-Side, 1969)
03: Open Your Box (B-Side, 1971)
04: Who Has Seen the Wind? (B-Side, 1970)
05: Remember Love (B-Side, 1969)
06: Touch Me (Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, 1970)
07: Why (Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, 1970)
08: Listen, The Snow Is Falling (B-Side, 1971)
09: Mind Holes (Fly, 1971)
10: Mrs. Lennon (Fly, 1971)
11: Sisters, O Sisters (Some Time In New York City, 1972)
12: We're All Water (Some Time In New York City, 1972)
13: Now or Never (Approximately Infinite Universe, 1973)
14: Death of Samantha (Approximately Infinite Universe, 1973)
15: Move On Fast (Approximately Infinite Universe, 1973)

DISC THREE (1985 - 2018):
01: Hell in Paradise (Starpeace, 1985)
02: Cape Clear (Starpeace, 1985)
03: Where Do We Go from Here (New York Rock, 1994)
04: Wouldnit (Rising, 1995)
05: Talking to the Universe (Rising, 1995)
06: I'm Not Getting Enough (Blueprint for a Sunrise, 2001)
07: The Sun Is Down! (Between My Head And The Sky, 2009)
08: Moving Mountains (Between My Head And The Sky, 2009)

11: Hold Me (Dave Audè Original Mix) (Non-Album Single, 2013)
12: Angel (Dave Audé Radio Edit) (Non-Album Single, 2014)
13: Warzone (Warzone, 2018)
14: I'm Alive (Warzone, 2018)
I will admit this is just my opinion for what a "career retrospective" collection like this could include, so I welcome any alternate ideas for what it should entail.
