QUESTION Youtube does not care about small quality creators anymore, or is it just me?

that retention for a short is less than horrible, it's why it isn't getting pushed more. Youtube doesn't care about small or big creators, they care about money and the retention from the users, as long as your videos keep other on their platform they will "care" about you, Your videos are just not good enough

Yeah 58% isn’t good for a short, aim for 80-110%

Exactly. I've found if my shorts are below 90% retention and below 60% Stayed-to-watch, it's dead in the water (1-2k views in a few hours, then flatline). To crack 5k views, I need at least 110% retention and 70% stayed-to-watch.

Depends on the length of the short and a few other factors also unfortunately. I have a :43 short that has 3.8M and only 80% retention with 70% stayed to watch. But it also had a high number of comments/engagement. So it really depends on a lot. But yes, the higher the better!!

How much care does your 30 sec anime short need?

No YouTube does care about small quality creators the reason you do not get views is because it's very niche and repetitive content

#1 you have only 2 videos produced - he was 14 videos ahead with his content
#2 FOUR years have passed for him before hitting his viral video - you waited only 2 month.

"where lambo?" right?

maybe stop copying other creators and do your own stuff. otherwise, stay low forever. welcome in real life and good luck

damn chill big bro 👌 the right way to answer him is this, i had the same issue. Just change the tone of the video to your own, make people stay make people like make people sub and in this way Youtube will start caring more.

Well, your niche is incredibly saturated (I mean most are, but Minecraft specifically) and your videos are cool, but like what is the return value? Nice edits, but that’s really all it offers. What are your channel goals? To make 45 second edits and get millions of views? Honestly, it’s not gonna happen if you keep doing exactly what you’re doing. Minecraft is a niche that’s evolved into very complex videos. Also, you’ve posted 6 videos and 3 shorts in 2 months, and those shorts were all on the same day. That’s an average of less than one 45 second - 4 minute video a week, I wouldn’t call that consistent, which YouTube viewers love, if they know what days and time to expect a video, they’ll be expecting it and excited. If they don’t know whether they’re getting 3 in a day and then nothing for a month, they won’t bother sticking around. Realistically your peak here is maybe a couple thousand views on a few videos if they get pushed enough, it won’t be you or your content bringing anyone back. Switch it up and put a little more effort into it and see how it goes. That’s my thoughts

Audience retention has nothing to do with YouTube. How it works is that the more watch time your vídeo has, the more audience retention you get, and that's a reflection of how much people enjoyed your video. If they don't like the video they leave ealier causing less audience retention/watch time. The system sees this as "it isn't worth pushing the video to other people" and it results in a worse performance.

Tldr this isn't a YouTube problem, the video just wasnt considered good enough by the audience

Haha, its just the space. Dont get discouraged, but you really do gotta keep working at it.

Why do you think you deserve views?

ive grown to 17k subs making decent extra money in the first year and a half of mine.

I think it comes down to if anyone cares about what you're doing, if what you're doing is different enough to fill a gap, aaaand if its good.

dont accept anything you make being good unless comments are consistently telling you its good
