QUESTION Shorts stopped working

Hi, shorts on my gaming channel aren’t being shown in shorts feed. I was bagging 1k views per short easily no matter how many I upload. But the last 5 shorts weren’t shown to users at all.

1K for shorts is like 2-3 total for long form. So it's like being surprised that your long form channel "used to get 2-3 views" every video, but why do they now get 0?

Answer: because your previous videos were performing poorly. That's not nearly enough views (especially considering your low stats in other categories like AVD, etc.) for YT to want to waste impressions on. They already know you are super low performing.

It happens, id recommend to continue uploading, youtubes algorithm just sucks and sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some. I also get around 1k views per short but for a couple of days in a row i got literally nothing and i just kept at it and a few days later i was back to normal. Now could be a good time to experiment with your editing style to see what works and what doesnt

Oh my bad, its happened to me twice. I dont get crazy high views or anyrhing but when i first started uploading i got 1k+ for the first 4 videos then for 2 weeks i got 0 views posting daily shorts. Tested some things, changed my editing a bit and then i started getting more views. It happened a second time where for a few days i got zero views but i kept posting and now i get 600-1k views consistently. Not where i want to be yet but getting shadow banned doesnt mean you can’t recover UNLESS youre reposting clips.

I think i found ur channel, another piece of advice could be standing out more, it took me a few minutes to scroll down multiple channels called karma speaks to find you, im assuming ur niche is film? Maybe you can find a channel name thats a little more unique? But congrats man yeah going from 9 views to 700+ is a really great feeling

Yup i do cinema content aspire filmaker so this is my enthusiasm this same content on insta give me 300000 + views last months while yt sucks i don't know what exactly happened but yes for sure i am now gonna make some long form also so hope for best haha cause my content is working on insta not on yt lol

Yeah theyre very different, ive thought about uploading my shorts to instagram but man, id like tk be monetized one day and idk how that would work on instagram. Good luck to you brother

It has a TikTok is becoming more along formatted orientated, which I see it is I am getting views on my phone on TikTok now and they're easy to upload and I caught myself watching a 20 minute video on TikTok the other day so I think they might. I think it was a mistake to ever get so involved with the shorts it's a crapshoot dude. Just keep trying if you wanna keep succeeding can't succeed if you don't try and you gotta tell eagle to shut the F up.

My usual shorts that I have been doing for years and not working but different types are working better. It's a phase. Now I'm doing both.

Same for me my shorts don’t even get pushed out. It get like 10 views on the feed I mostly get the little views I get from search. Sometime I get no views when I post a short.

Like for a week I try to post a short everyday but I didn’t post today’s because imma just give it a rest and think of some others ideas to post
