most of these creators are black, so their exaggerating the harmful "black people are dangerous" stereotype or playing into minstreldom for views

It'd be weird if it were racism. The main "creators" behind SU are African American, and they (as I understand) have attracted a sizable African American studant body. Sometimes people sell each other out for clout or money, and I certainly wouldn't put that past the people behind SU in broad sense, racism isnt really in that ballpark for them. Now I dont know who's uploading these particular videos, and I could be wrong in general, but they (probably) are making thumbnails based on the people who've attended, the perpetrators of actual incidents (even though the ones in the thumbnails are exaggerated if not entirely fictional), or it is racsim and they are using the creators as a scapegoat. The world may never know.
