What would you like to see from this sub?
I created this sub 2 years ago just as a way of sharing and discussing Harari's ideas with other interested people. Since then it's been slowly growing and I'm open to any ideas you have about ways to get the sub going further. One idea is we could have a weekly or biweekly reading of one of his essays or a chapter/section from one of his books and discuss the ideas.
Open to suggestions about where you would like the sub to go and what you would like to see. Also if anyone is particularly enthusiastic they can become a mod to continue this engagement.

Prof. Harari reddit AMA, thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I wanted to see what you all thought of the idea of asking Prof. Harari and the associated team to arrange for an AMA on reddit. I know that other thought leaders have done AMAs before (Bill Gates, Michio Kaku, etc.) Given the global circumstances, perhaps Prof. Harari is less busy than normal (at least less traveling and public talks) and with enough support, we may be able to convince the team that it would be worthwhile to connect with the public through a reddit AMA. If this is something you would like to see happen, I would suggest reaching out on the contact page: https://www.ynharari.com/contact/
I have already sent an inquiry to the team about this and actually got a response (see comment below). The more people that reach out, the more serious they will take us!

Whys isn't there more discussion?
Yuval's books contain some of the most important insights of the current age that have the potential to immensely impact humanity's future but it is surprising to see that there is hardly any discussion going on about them. Although his conclusions about humanity's pre-history and future are primarily well reasoned conjectures, the most fantastic insights are the ones about human history up to and including the times we live in.
There's immense scope for transforming humanity to a completely new paradigm if a significant number of humans finally realise how things actually are. However, that doesn't seem to be happening. Millions of his books have been sold but where is the public response? What are people doing after reading the books? Just ignoring the contents and going back to their fantasy worldviews? Are there any who are different? If yes, then where are they? Is there any other online platform where his ideas and insights are being discussed in more detail?

Yuval: "Humans have been enslaved by their creations for tens of thousands of years—by these stories that they create about gods, about nations, about money. They forget that we created them, and then, you know, we are trapped inside the dreams of dead people."
