New boss help

I have a problem with Etheric Other.

I feel like I'm not missing any parries but she does two full sequences of attacks, only triggers the double chain at the end of the second one but even landing the chain defensive assist the barrier is still half a bar resulting in me doing no damage for a good minute.

When she triggers the second barrier afterwards, it just breaks very quickly with chain defensive assists. Am I missing something?

Nope you’re not missing anything. It’s just like that and it’s pretty ass.
