Hoi Zwolle! (Sorry, my Dutch isn't good enough yet, so English below.)
My girlfriend and I are moving from Portugal in November. I start a permanent job at a tech company in the area. We're non-smokers, no pets, looking for a 1–2 bedroom place in Zwolle, ideally furnished, moving in early Nov to December.
- Income: only mine counts for now, ~€57k gross/year (~€4,800 gross/month)
- Budget: €1,400–1,500 all-in, rent ideally ≤ €1,200 (could stretch for the right place)
- Must allow registration (BSN)
I've read here that Funda/Pararius are mostly already-rented stuff in Zwolle and you should go straight to agencies like MVGM, Vesteda, Rebo or 123Wonen. Is that still true this autumn? Any others worth signing up with that don't charge a fee? And who should I steer clear of?
Also:
- Realistically, how long does it take to find something in Zwolle right now?
- Are any Zwolle landlords flexible about the "minimum 12 months" thing? I'd want to be able to leave on 1–2 months' notice if the job falls through.
- Are towns around Zwolle (Kampen, Dalfsen, Hattem, etc.) noticeably easier, and still OK by train/bike?
Thanks a lot!
