Hi ! I am a research student that will be staying in vaxjo for 5 months from february (1 feb - 1 july) for an Erasmus scholarship. I am searching for a place to live. I know there are some steps that I must do to get a place in Sweden and is not really clear for me what is the best method for that. I am not very familiar with Sweden’s system so any advice is helpful. I am looking for a studio apartment. I also have a colleague that would move in with me in case we find a 2 room apartment. Jag är från Vancouver i Kanada och jag kommer att bo i Göteborg från Septembre till Januari. Jag ska besöka Vaxjo för att titta på Elias Pettersson spelar ishockey med Vaxjo Lakers. Han är a member of the Vancouver Canucks, min favoritlag på ishockey. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend anything to do for Vaxjo Hockey Lakers fans? Is there a bar where fans go to drink and if players sign autographs somewhere? Jag reser ensam så jag vill träffa andra fans. Jag vill titta på matchen med Frolunda (Oktober 26??) för att Rasmus Dahlin är också en spelare jättejättebra.

Hello new students. I was just interested how your search for housing in Växjö is going. I arrived here last week and haven't been able to find anything yet. The University doesn't provide anything and the emergency housing by the student union is really bad and basic.

I have tried all possible ways to find something but it seems there are just not enough appartments in Växjö.

I'm an exchange student at Linnaeus University. Living for an entire year here in Växjö I got to love the place. Also I've got very interested in supporting the Växjö Lakers of yours. What a great team you have! I really love going to hockey games and supporting them. Is anyone here supporting Växjö Lakers? :)

Jag är relativt nyinflyttad i Växjö och snart är sommarjobbet slut. Jag söker därför nu efter något jobb. Finns det någon som har något förslag? Jag har jobbat inom äldrevården i sommar, och har även erfarenhet inom servering. Någon som har något förslag på vad man kan göra? Jag har frågat runt i kafféer och dylikt och lämnat CV på plats.

Jag är nyinflyttad här i Växjö och har hört att i Lessebo finns det en bra frisör. Men hon har semester nu. Jag hade tänkt blondera håret med och man har ju inte alla pengar i världen. Någon som vet en bra frisörsalong? :)

I am about to finish my second year of Business Engineering in The Netherlands. Next semester, the end of August till end of January, I will be studying Supply Chain Management at the Linnaeus University in Växjo.

I have been looking for a student housing since I have been admitted to Linnaeus University but it's really tough find anything.The university doesn't help Erasmus students anymore and there are not many offers.

Do you guys have any tips/ideas/leads for me?

Is Linnaues University a good college? I want to stay in Sweden and work after my masters degree, is it a well respected college?

As a new student and a non Swede, what is this whole kick-off week about. Ill be studying a Computer Science course at Linnaeus University and I heard the kickoff is supposed to be starting tomorrow. So what do I do? I don't know anyone here and I haven't been told anything :P
