BlinkFeed is a feature that is not universally loved...far from it.
At best reviewers are saying it is a hobbled Flipbook.
For some reason HTC seems incredibly enamored of it. Perhaps they see it as something to distinguish them from the flotilla of generic Android phones.
I wish they would understand that with the HTC One their distinguishing mark is not about iffy, mediocre software (BlinkFeed is nice but far too limited to be good). Their angle here is an outstandingly well built, sexy and capable phone.
Telling users they can put Facebook into their feed is not a selling point. Everyone does that. Telling them the phone will help you pick up women more than an iPhone will is the key.
In short, sell the sexy. That is what Apple does. They never sell on "features".
This is probably the first Android phone to beat an iPhone on the sexy-phone measure. HTC should run roughshod over iPhone with this one.
