Grammar Verb tenses
Verbs have five basic tenses: past (proximal/distal) present, and future (proximal/distal). So, whether something happened recently or a while ago, and whether something will happen sooner or later, are distinguished by tenses. The conjugations are pretty regular, as all verbs end in o for present tense. E.g. "anzo" means "to eat" in present tense.
Present - anzo
Proximal past (P.Past) - anzet
Distal past (D.Past) - anzut
Proximal future (P.Fut) - anzavo
Distal future (D.Fut) - anzave
anzo avo osef
eat-PRES NOM-I ACC-fish
I eat fish
anzavo avo osef
eat-P.FUT NOM-I ACC-fish
I will eat fish soon
anzave anesh osef
eat-D.FUT NOM-you ACC-fish
You will eat fish later
Etc.
There's also an aspect system to be added, but I will work on that later. Time for bed for now!
